I just came across an article complaining about how EASY it is to progress. This is a very large statement compared to Halo infinite’s beta. So heres a poll.
- XP Progression Is Too Fast
- XP Progression Is Just Right
- XP Progression Is Too Slow

I want MCC’s progression.
You get to unlock whatever you wanted among 10 unlocks, and you get a new selection after unlocking all 10.
It let you progressed as you wish and you can unlock things earlier than later, but you are still encouraged to keep playing cos the goodies are in the later 10s of the 100 tier season pass.
Thats a nice thought but highly improbable
The current advanced system has led to the use of macros or robots to hang up in the game. It is very bad. In fact, the current upgrade system is very normal throughout the season, but the continuous effect is not very good. After level 100, it will lose some power
Not quite.
Imagine this :
Been seeing a few posts talking about what there is to do until the next season after they maxed out BP.
And I’m sitting here thinking “play the game”.
Perhaps the initial progression system in place was far too slow, but I feel like the current one might even be just a tad too quick with the boosts in place.
I’m a little more than halfway through it, and I feel pretty comfortable with the progression I’ve made. Boosts are a bit OP though.
Where is the " It’s pointless because there are no good rewards for players who don’t buy the battlepass and it’s causing my teammates to act like dipsticks in the pursuit of their challenges" option?
I think the season is too long. I should have it finished by the end of the day on Tuesday at the latest.
With the daily xp boost now from matches coupled with a 2xp, you can just fly through the battlepass. If you coordinate your weekly challenges to coincide with your daily matches, while using a 2xp, you can jump 2 levels with one match.
It is very easy to progress, if you just do your daily play one game challenges then you can get 3-4 levels a day with an XP boost.
That’s quite reasonable for the small amount of time you have to invest.
Progression system is fine now. Seasons are just wayyyy too freaking long. 6 months for 1 season? Jesus. No wonder they made it so grindy initially.
from what I’ve heard it’s only this first season that is so long, to give them time to work on post-launch stuff

I know this has been said a million times, but 6 years especially the 1 year delay was more than enough time.
evidently not, I’m sure you know everything about game development and how ‘‘easy’’ it is
And after the Battlepass, what will you do? Playing games, you get everytime 50xp and they are irrelevant.
We/I need an Account Levelsystem or Playlistlevel system like Halo 3.
Just something to grind on more. And whats the point in winning or losing a match, everyone gets 50-100-200xp.
Medails like Ninja, Double kills etc are irrelevant.
And I don’t want an extra site like halotracker to see my stats.
Well, since I don’t have the premium pass every time I rank up and see all the stuff I can’t use it’s a slap in the -Yoink!- each time. Otherwise, if you enjoy unlocking challenge swaps to complete challenges to rank up and earn more challenge swaps it’s fine.
It’s too slow.
I don’t want to see my tier increase unless I’m getting some worthwhile item, but I’d be okay with that if I was able to go up by 5 tiers in a day.
Right now, I’ll go up about 2-3 tiers each day after playing quite a few matches, but I won’t get much more than challenge swaps, and I don’t even get more than 2 of those each day.
I understand why they’re doing that, but it’s really annoying and makes me want to not buy the Battle Pass.
I have vague memories of “the first battlepass is free” from before as well.
OT:
So,
I think that, it’s none of the above.
See, They have the pieces in play to make it tolerable. My biggest issue is the three / four limit challenge tracking which is severely limiting any sort of progression speed.
We don’t feel like we’re progressing when there are challenges we’re currently tracking which we don’t get to do, while there are those we could progress in the matches we play, but they’re locked.
It’s a meaningless bottleneck of randomised challenge selections from a large pool of different challenges we can see.
What’s even the point of seeing the challenges we will get when we can’t do anything with them?
I genuinely played 15 matches of Total Control and Slayer while having CTF and Stockpile challenges to track, while I’m fairly certain there were locked challenges I would’ve gotten twice or three times over through all those 15 matches.
At times it feels slow because we’re stuck with some challenges, at times it’s fast because we’re lucky enough to get easy enough challenges and the MM system gives us what we need. ( Though there’s suspicions of foul play regarding all of that with Game mode related challenges and what we get to play ).
I agree about the challenges.
Having them appear like they do right now is fine, since it gives you a suggestion on which challenges should be completed next, but I think it should let you choose which ones appear and complete them all whenever you want.
It seems reasonable honestly… I’m getting close to 70’s now and I’m not even focusing down challenges in order to progress. I just do the ones I want to do and then play for fun afterwards.
