Because none of my challenges are showing the orange icon next to them, indicating which specific challenges need to be completed in order to advance in the event battle pass.
And I completed a couple challenges and received nothing.
How are we supposed to get anything in Winter Contingency II?
They’re supposed to be a light blue.
Though right now, the event screen is blank for me even though I’ve done two tiers already.
Looks like the daily is an event challenge and then some others are peppered in with the weeklies.
I will say 3/4 of my active challenegs are to get hardlight/shock kills.
Well none of my challenges have those icons. And I have restarted my game on by Xbox and my PC.
You complete any challenge - I’ve done the first two in my first game.
I haven’t gotten a single thing and I have two challenges down.
Must be bugged - try restarting the game.
I’ve been doing them all in Big Team Battle just fine, They seem to not be event game mode restricted…
Completed half of the event pass in 2 Big Team Battle Missions so far. Involved finishing matches, grenade kills ( akready git a third one of those to do already lol ), vehicle spatters, and assists.
I do have a question though, what weapons are considered “HardLight” weapons? Some of the Check bot to do lists request me to get kills with either Shock or Hardlight Weapons…
Just do the regular challenges. 343 tweaked the requirements.

I’m halfway through and it’s been an hour.
Why are they still call these things “Challenges” is beyond me. This weeks participation trophy will be mine in no time!
Yeah no kidding I’m already done with it the whole event. Took an hour and a half. Mostly because one of the last challenges I got was to play five games.
I’ve stopped playing so it lasts longer than a night. I wish we could choose when we want to do the (participation) challenge or activate them when we see fit.
I’m on that last challenge in, only took me 2 hours, what a joke to call these things challenges lol.
Now just complete 5 matches and the weekly participation trophy will be mine!
The original challenge sets were tiresome but these new ones, like youve said, take much less time. Sometimes the ultimate can be tricky though. It took me a bit to get all my splatters the other week. Id say, overal, its better than not being able to complete them, and, for rewards like visors, maybe the minimal effort is justified
which ones are the shock/hardlight weapons again? lol
Shock weapons consist of: Shock Grenades, Shock Rifle, Disruptor. Basically any weapons that can EMP vehicles are considered Shock Weapons.
Hardlight Weapons consist of: Sentinal Beam, Cindershot, Heatwave. Basically the weapons that erase the corpse when you kill enemies with it.
