I never liked this playlist, I only play it to rank every time a new season arrives. And it’s also a frustraing playlist due to the fact that I’ve played more slayer than objectives in this playlist. I didn’t like what they did to the radar for the playlist, you walk and you disappear from radar, making the game worse the game for me. And lastly, the sweaty players, and I know you’ll find them everywhere at any time, but in this playlist it seems they show up more than in others with their full parties.

While I understand the frustration with the radar, you are kind of asking for it when it comes to “sweaty” players when you go into the HCS playlist. It is the Official competitive playlist based of what the pros actually use (I believe).
Don’t really see the point of playing a playlist that you get frustrated in just to get a rank. I just avoid the ones that bother me. If you’re doing it to get the season REQ pack, you should play something else. It’s sweaty because it’s the Esports playlist.
I mean, yeah? It’s the Esports playlist.
Was the MLG playlist sweaty?
Any arena playlist is a sweaty playlist, don’t kid yourself.

While that is certainly true, I see some truth in the OP’s words. The HCS playlist is (in my opinion) one of the hardest modes to perform well and maintain a good rank. I can never perform decently and I’m always mid-high Gold tier. Might be just me.
I happen to like not showing up on radar while walking. You can make some sneaky plays
The players are definitely of higher overall calibre but it actually feels way less sweaty in a way.
The radar and lack of AR starts gives you some room to breathe and think about how you want to approach a situation, and teammates are much more likely to work together both with sticking together & communication.
It feels more ordered, more tactical.
Even if default playlists have less skilled players, the gameplay feels more sweaty because the most rewarding playstyle is just to never slow down to think.
Everyone just sprints immediately off spawn because simply playing faster is more rewarding than playing tactical due to how powerful the AR+Sprint+Short radar combination is… just fly at people’s face over & over again, before they can react to do anything about it, and it’s more likely to work out than pausing to think, “should I set up for OS or try to capture this stronghold first?”
Default settings make these kind of decisions irrelevant because you can just do both since nobody will see you coming anyway.

Nah, its not just you. The last time I tried to rank in it, I was stuck in Silver. Haven’t tried it since then mind you and probably wont now that you dont actually get anything for participating in the seasons, but who knows.
I can see where you’re coming from. However, it’s nice to have teammates that really try to put in the effort.
My issue is that is only used a limited part of the weapon sandbox. It sort of takes out one or two facets of the game. I only played it because I couldn’t find a game in team arena (surprising, since I’m in the EU and it’s a featured playlist right now).
I guess the sweatiness comes from the sheer stress of using a magnum for CQC!
Well it’s the Halo Championships Series playlist so it should be…
There are more quitters than sweaties. It is the quitters playlist.

I barely squeezed a platinum rank in it, and I had to sweat my butt off.
What did you expect? It’s a HCS playlists, of course there going to be “sweaty” players!

Yeah really, i hate that they removed social slayer because that was one of my favorite playlists now if I want to play in 4v4 gamemode I have to play with all the sweaty kids in arena which is just painful for casual players

This sums it up lol

Well, they are ranked and ranked anything in any game for that matter, is going to have more competitive people obviously, so you are right there. In Halo 5 some ranked playlists are worst then others though. HCS, Team Slayer and Doubles I find are the most “sweaty” Team Arena was too before the HCS came out.
I love the challenge cause getting a champion in hcs is the champion I would be stoked for getting, just like in H3 the only the only 50 that meant anything to me was the mlg playlist.
Sweaties often congregate in ranked playlists what’s new?

This has to be a troll post: Posting an obnoxious post/question and then never come back to the thread.
You play the sweatiest of playlists and then you wonder why it is so sweaty. And the reason you play this playlist? Because you want a rank. What? Why? Don’t play playlists you don’t like! It is extremely obvious! I don’t even know why I react…
I mean idk why you would complain don’t get me wrong I hate what they do with the radar but sweats? It’s the game type the use for official halo comp I mean it’s kinds of a given that’s were the most comp will be imo
