He definitely deserves it for -Yoinking!- up what could have been an epic Campaign with Blue Team, Arbiter, and Buck. So is he gone???
I believe he is gone, yes.
In my opinion he is the single worst thing that has happened to this franchise. If they picked ANY other writer, we most likely would have gotten a fluid, and cohesive story. I still liked the campaign, but the writing was garbage.

Of course! He did a horrible job, he deserves it

While I haven’t liked his scripts for Spartan ops or H5… how do you know it’s his fault? Maybe he wasn’t given good parameters to work with. Also some one approved what he wrote so why aren’t they to blame? Also if no one got fired, at least that I know of, for that face plant of a release of MCC I am sure bad writing can’t get you fired.

Well first off FYI the thread could be Locke’d due to calling out a 343 employee by name, just to warn you.
That said, I agree wholeheartedly with disgust over the story arc’s abysmal turn of direction with H5, I’ve been very bold about how much I hate it over in the Universe section lately. However, I will also agree with a couple of the others above that we may want to be careful about laying too much blame on any one individual. His name may be next to Lead Writer but there were obviously a lot of hands in the pot and we don’t know how much of it was his personal doing. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Microsoft had a hand in the odd direction the game took.

Perhaps… but shouldn’t the person who put him as lead writer be held responsible? Or how about the person who approved his work? Didn’t some one read it and have to say yeah this is good send it to production… shouldn’t they be held responsible?

As much as I do not like him, the way he treats the fans, or his take on halo 5s story, you do NOT make a thread asking if he’s been fired.
And and on topic, I’m pretty sure that he does not have creative control over halo 6.
