So Halo is a community developed game now???

So, basically 343 is supposed to listen to every silly rant on here and make a hodge podge
of a game out of it? Last I checked, they were the developers. They make the game they want to make and(here’s the good part) if you don’t like what you see, DON’T BUY IT!
If you have great ideas about how to make the game super awesome… Well there’s always www.kickstarter.com

> So, basically 343 is supposed to listen to every silly rant on here and make a hodge podge of a game out of it?

No, 343 is supposed to give me (emphasis mine) more of the same Halo that I enjoyed in the past because I am an entitled childe and I don’t enjoy being given things that I didn’t ask for.

Also, the number of people playing the Halo that I like the most is not as high as I wish it were, so I need 343 to just make the new Halo identical to the one that I like so that when it releases, there will be tons of people to play my favorite Halo with. That’s the real problem.

If you look a bit closer you’ll see that not all of these threads are rants or hate threads but are discussions.

> If you look a bit closer you’ll see that not all of these threads are rants or hate threads but are discussions.

true but the rant/hate threads exist. Plus in a lot of those threads fans are saying that if such and such is added in to the game it will suck as if they know everything. Its alright to be negative but i hate people who think there opinions are the ultimate truth

Which direction would you say it favors? Discussions or rants…be honest.

Dicussions, after our gameinformer monkey-throw poo-poo moment at the leak we were but not now.

Indeed, it’s their game, they don’t owe us anything.

Rants naturally, but discussion threads do exist.

halo will always be bungies not 343’s.

You seem to be under the illusion that games can be made for free. Developers need to sell there ideas. When I was University I had to sell my idea to the tutors, if it wasn’t fun, feasible then it most likely wasn’t worth doing Plus if the game isn’t worth buying then nobody will buy the game, programs like 3ds Max, Zbrush isn’t cheap.

I bet if Bungie could’ve made this game, they wouldn’t repeat the mistakes that 343i is doing.

> I bet if Bungie could’ve made this game, they wouldn’t repeat the mistakes that 343i is doing.

Correction. Bungie were the one that made the mistakes in Reach in the first place. 343i are trying to fix the mistakes while trying to keep the Reach players happy too.

I love Bungie more than the next guy, but you guys seem to be immortalizing them. Or attempting to make them into gods. They were capable, and did indeed make mistakes too. Just as 343 will. Bungie’s role in Halo’s future is over, accept it. You’re just hurting yourselves.

I respect them enough to realize their faults. You’re just blidnly following them.

They’re not doing a good job at that. From what we’ve seen, they are just taking the dumb Reach ideas even further and making it worse.

The important thing is to not get bogged down in what you want, and instead try to see the community as a whole. Then look at the changes from a new perspective and hopefully you will see how, although you might not like them, others would.

If you liked the other Halos so much why don’t you just play them and let Halo 4 be its
own game.

> I bet if Bungie could’ve made this game, they wouldn’t repeat the mistakes that 343i is doing.

But if Bungie was making the game, people would complain that they wouldn’t learn from
their mistakes with Reach.

So 343 had to sell Halo4 to Microsoft? You know, the company that commissioned the game and started a 300 person studio to develop it? You’re off base here. Microsoft has no reason to believe that this game will not do well at this point.
