In earlier Halo games forums used to be filled with discussions about the terminals/datapads found in the campaign. I have yet to find any on Halo 5 and I would like to get a better understanding of the Forerunner intel mostly.
Well I found almost all of them by now and some of them are quite funny
I have a hard time understanding what’s going on with the forerunner intels
From what I can remember a lot of the Intel is just flavour pieces - for example, in the Sanghelios missions there are a few ancient Elite swords that just have phrases inscribed on them - they don’t do anything to further the story at all.

I fyou go through a mission and collect them all it almost adds a side story.
Generally speaking, for this sort of thing you’d want to go check out the Halo Universe section of the forum. Intel/Terminals/Data Pads are all canonical things and that’s where people on Waypoint go to discuss canon. A lot of the frequent posters on there are members of other Lore discussion groups such as the Halo Archive or Halopedia. Pretty good people to talk about this sort of thing with!
