So halo 4 is upsetting you?

Ive read on here that people don’t like halo 4 or spartan ops. So if you don’t like it then don’t even play it. Just watch the cutscenes. I dont like cod or black ops you don’t see me playing a few times then going to their forums and whining about the game. And please have some cheese with your wine. It’s over on the table. Be sure not to flip it. I mean if the new halo left you that hurt go back in time and stop your self from playing CE, but odds are you would sit down with yourself and play and you would see why halo still has you playing and kicking covie butt. It not the same game, in the same wars, doing the same things. I’m looking at you call of duty. How many ww2 remakes can you make of the same game? A franchise apparently.

Cgi- now I love the cutscenes, the story, the idea of being another faceless spartan just give me more of my own character. The reason why crimson isn’t in the cutscenes are simply, 343i isn’t going to take their time to render every single one of our own customized spartans into them, seeing how they are trying to pump them out every week. And for some of you who waited for the weekly challenges to reset and play spartan ops chapter 3 knows it was late coming out. And also they look better then halo wars cutscenes which were the best until boom halo 4.

New characters- Palmer is awesome. Anyone who makes a joke to master chief about figuring he would be taller proves that he is in fact the living legend everyone knows. Laskey, fire team majestic, Roland, the idiot doctor scientist who just had to touch the atifact, are all in fact new. Give them time to grow on you and immerse yourself into their world, you have to wait the whole 52 weeks though and from the looks of it, there will be 52 weeks of people going " oh I don’t like it, I don’t like palmer" I like her better then kat from reach. A whole lot better. I have a feeling Roland is going to be a major factor soon. With forerunner tech talking to the ship and all. You just have to wait.

Story- like I said above, let it grow on you, let them expand the universe to more then just one lone armor wearing badass who has to be tired from nonstop -Yoink- kicking without the recommended sleep habit and you know help him. Chief wasn’t just lucky he had good people and friends to watch out for him. They are trying to tell you a story in a way that keep you invested not to where you play it for a few months then quit. Reach had that effect on me. Just wasn’t new. If I wanted to know what happen to reach I would read the book and I did. It was a lot better then the game. I can’t wait to play all of the story together and just veg out to 52 awesome cutscenes.

Multiplayer- I have my own issues with this. People shoot me behind walls while I can’t do it to them, people hide in walls in flood preventing you from killing the last man standing. Insanely annoying lag issues, but guess what? I’m still trucking forward and now I’m at my first specialization because I don’t come here and complain to the makers. This isnt bioware, they aren’t going to fix their 1000 of endings to 4 and then give out free stuff to make you happy. Get with 343i by getting your degree in college or you know boycott their workplace. Those are your options choose wisely.

Overall I love halo 4, Spartans ops, multiplayer. The characters are fresh not your normal “I’m a member of the Keyes family” we already know how they are gonna die, by bomb or flood. It’s the best halo I have played. And I’ve played them all. So people I just ask you to give them a chance to how you that your wrong and there is a reason they make games and you play them. Thank you for your time.

I like the idea of spartan ops, I really do and I really want it to be a good alternative to firefight, but there are some issues.

My main gripe is the recycled maps and environments. I mean, come on… Two of this week’s missions in spartan ops take place in Ragnarok, a mp map that has existed since Halo 3. I mean, seriously??.. I also wish there was more variety rather than just seeing enemies drop, killing them, deactivating stuff, defending areas.

Maybe perhaps a banshee mission or a pelican mission, etc. Doing new stuff that we haven’t already seen from the campaign already would be nice.

I really like Lasky, I do, but I absolutely hate the way they have demonized Halsey as a character in chains and the attitude of the new Spartan fours and Palmer.

And that lag----omg, it’s horrible. I haven’t had one game yet that ran smoothly. This was also an issue in firefight in Reach and it seems as if it has carried over and it is really unfortunate… :frowning:

My connection is absolutely great but spartan ops just lags too damn much to be able to enjoy it online with my buddies.

People that complain are the people who are most passionate about the Halo franchise, and they don’t want to see it die. Seeing the player base constantly dwindling online after 2 weeks shows how downhill this triple A franchise has gotten too. I’m one of the many people who is just playing H4 in hope it will actually become somewhat enjoyable in the future and actually feel Halo.

But you have to understand there are more people that like it the way it is.

Why should they change the game to please the minority and leave the majority unhappy? That doesn’t seem fair does it?

Basically what your saying is you don’t care what other people think, you want things the way you want them and that’s it.

That’s selfish dude.

I have played all Halo games and I like H4… So, I am xxDidact and I approve this game.

I’m pretty sure that the things that people want changed are fairly minimal and wouldn’t be that big of a deal to implement. People are mainly complaining about features that did exist, that have been taken out. They should still be there. If there was nothing wrong with it, why fix it. Custom games and Forge suck now compared to what they used to be.

What set halo apart from other games was that everyone started out the same every game. Just an AR or a SMG or in some gametypes DMR/BR depending on which halo game. You go out, learn the maps and weapon spawns, and that’s how it worked. This isn’t the case now. Ordnance drops are uneven and ruin vehicle gameplay. That’s something else that has set halo apart. Vehicles. Ordnance drops have rendered vehicle use near useless on the majority of maps.

Change is good, but not when you exclude core parts that were integral to defining the franchise.

I get the anger for the maps and environments, I had the same gripe myself. Then I thought about it, Crimson team mission is to keep those areas safe. And another thing SpOps are coming out every week with the cgi and everything else, how can you expect them to make a render a new map for spartan ops in a week without killing themself before the 52 chapters are complete? they are pacing theirselves. Im sure there will be new maps and enviroments, just give them time to get them out. and you have to admit they did the whole Ragnarok story telling very nicely. Down pelican, and forerunner tech to activate.

And god yes i agree with a banshee or pelican mission, that or maybe turbo charge the thrusters like cortana and chief did the ghost and zip around a stage made for getting the hell out of dodge.

lasky is the kid we grew to love in forward onto dawn. see? we have to let them grow on us. and yes halsey is getting blacklisted, but its not infinity doing it. Its Oni and UNSC. But i mean think about it, you make a bomb, bomb works prefectly, other make the exact bomb, you look like a war criminal. Just with halsey they are looking at the other tidbit that sucks for her. Spartans were made to take out humans first, not the covie. they just came along at the prefect time for the humans. Give everyone a reason to remember to work together and not act like idiots. which didnt work.

I didnt mean the lagging in the Ops i meant in multi player in general. Like CTF the other day. i got close to this guy melee from behind to do my assassination and next thing i know he is five feet ahead me, then another five feet.

The spartans IVs were trained differently then the IIs and IIIs, they arent kidnapped little kids anymore. They volunteer and after hearing about the exploits of master chief and his AI sidekick, i would sign up too and if i made it, i think i would be alittle cocky too.

thanks for the post btw.

You get ordnance when you get enough points, work harder to make it more fair. same goes for weapons, spartan points are there, use them to make your loadout better. I dont hear CoD players griping a loadout gets a shotgun when another gets a sniper. Atleast here they make sure you start is basic weapons you are more familiar with and not one low level person a pistol and the other team all rockets. With vehicles work your way up and get operator class, Emp and things dont work and you can take alot more damage. and no it hasnt, ive been on both side of the field getting stomped out by a mantis and taking down banshees and tanks. You have to work at it. Work with your team, use mics. And you talk about forge and learning the maps like you dont know you are suppose to use forge to help you learn the level, the spawn points and weapon drops. Forge isnt just for making huge crazy things. Change is good, which is why they try to change the war games each week, and see what we like and dont. I dont like the sticy grenade launcher but i havent made a post complaing how it killed me alot of times and i couldnt kill the user. it means he is damn good with it and he worked hard to be that way.

More people like this game? Every forum I go to whether its here or other Halo based or gaming forums the majority of the threads are complaints. The fact I mentioned the player base is slowly dying after 2 weeks compared to Halo 3 where people still actively play it today.

Oh and I was one of the many who thought I liked Halo: Reach before I realized I was in denial, and that I only wanted to like the game as I loved all the other Halos. That took me 2 months of playing, and now it seems after 2 weeks people already have the same issues as me or already moved on to other games.

And how do you assume this? Everytime I log on to play there are huge numbers of people in the game modes. 120000 people between big team slayer and slayer? 15000-20000 on team swat, the highest I’ve seen snipers was at 12000. So I would like to l know where you are getting this from.

The entirety of season 1 is already done they’re just shoveling em’ out every week. I don’t like the recycled maps either although, the Shootout in Valhalla was my favorite mission so far

So you’re upset that you spent 63 dollars and some change on a game that is nothing like the Halo game you were expecting.

I am too close minded and dumb to understand why this would be.< This about somes up the thoughts that are going through your head.

yeh i dont like the re used maps, but at lesat there done well enough that i still enjoy them.

Still i think its insaine to exspect new maps for each episode, thats like brining out another campagin x2 prity much. Sure if it was paid dlc maybe, but its not its free it didnt have to be there. They could of just done a halo reach and made ff on campagin levels.
