I think it is very well possible that with the infinity having Spartan IV’s or at least were on it before it launched (but who is to say some weren’t deployed afterwards before halo 4?) that Master Chief could find himself fighting alongside some Spartan IV’s in Halo 4 or possibly Kelly, Fred, Linda, the Spartan III’s (Ash, Olivia, etc…)

Anything’s possible, really. Hopefully, the next post-war book will come out before Halo 4, and give us more insight into the H4 story.
I honestly would love to see the chief fighting along side some fellow S-IIs or IIIs, but S-IV seems to be what we might encounter in Halo 4.
I’m pretty sure we won’t get a sequel until after Halo 4. I’m not sure how long it takes Traviss to write novels, but most authors that I’ve read about take a lot longer than a year to write 400-500 pages (A lot of time fiddling with planning and whatnot. Making sure everything works).
I doubt MC would fight with the SIIs and SIIIs. Their stories have been confined to books, and that’s where I’m sure they’ll stay. If anything, fighting with SIVs would be a nice clean slate for the game.

She could probably get one out in a year. She has multiple book projects on the go, and probably finished Glasslands a few months ago. So another book coming out within the next year isn’t totally off the mark.

True, they have mainly in the books, but it would cool…
Also I notice I wrote: Grasslands in the title… I meant Glasslands. XD

Well:
Halo Primordium is releasing almost a year to the day after Cryptum.
The Fall of Reach was written in just a few months (I think it was 6 or 7)
The last 3 Gears of War books (Jacinto’s Remnant, Anvil Gate, Coalition’s End) all released about a year from each other, and she was working on Glasslands while writing the last, if not the last 2, Gears books.
I have no doubt that the second Post-War novel could release before Halo 4.
id expect a new one before halo 4 launches. cryptum and glasslands were released this year, primordium will release almost at the exact time that cryptum was released a year ago. primordium should give halo 4 some relevancy and id expect the sequel to glasslands to expound on what happened near and at the end of glasslands.
