There’s 4. Those iterations aren’t Gen1.
I mean, an updated Gen1 Recon Armor set would be nice as a legendary/mythic addition to the currently massive collection of Armor Sets available. And it never hurts to have more content.
The main thing I don’t like about the Gen2 recon armor is the Chin/Jaw. It’s atrocious protrusions that ruin the look of recon.

Why are any of Noble Team’s armors coming back?
and in terms of the mentioned sets being popular with the fanbase, remember that GEN1 Recon was, and probably still is one of the most popular armors, ever since Halo 3 launched. It is very well known and would be a welcome addition, and probably would mean alot to many veterans of the Vidmasters and Halo 3.

Decimator is not a Mark V iteration! The Decimator armour is the MJOLNIR Mark VII prototype, the design is inspired by the Mark V**.
Personally. I don’t like the ugly look of the Decimator Visor.

It may as well be considered, visually, a variant of the Mark V armor, as Mark V** was, until Mark V** makes a true return. For the sake of the arguement, there are many versions of the same armor released, which people like. GEN1 Recon shouldn’t take a backseat because there are several SKINS of GEN2 Recon.

People have been whining and crying that 343i is doing their best to please fans giving them OLD stuff instead of creating something new.

Because most of their NEW sets
IE Seeker and Tracer, to name a few
Look pretty bad.
People want to see the old sets brought forward because they LIKE them. They mean something to them, and they look good as well, compared to the newer armors.
Look at marauder or the dynast armors and tell me honestly that you like it, over stuff like Mark IV, or the upcoming noble team armors, or even the armors from the previous games. Be truthful with yourself.
Even if you aren’t, don’t stifle someone else, just because YOU don’t want something. In the even that they do add GEN1 Recon, you still have the option NOT to wear it.
I wish because it looked so much better (might be because it was so much harder to get) I feel like a lot of armies were just totally made ugly with minor differences
All these people saying there’s no point… why? There’s loads of armors in the game, and Gen1 recon actually looks good… Halo 3’s recon was unique, looks practically nothing like the halo 4/5 recon. Should be a mythic legendary armor since it was always notorious for being painstaking to earn.
I would love to see GEN1 Recon come back, as well as several other GEN1 armours (EOD, CQB). Those actually looked good, unlike their new versions. GEN2 Recon is horrible with it’s massive chin and forward slanted visor.
I don’t think it will come back, but it would be awesome if it did. And if it was insanely difficult to unlock too.

To be perfectly honest. Dynast is one of my favorite helmets at this point in time. Marauder is needlessly ugly. But Dynast isn’t so bad.

Noble is based off Mark V**, Alpha was created as a Gen2 armor, Decimator is based off a Mark VII prototype, and Mark IV a precursor and frankly irrelevant to the conversation.
Hermes isn’t an EVA variant, it just looks sort of similar.
You want another Recon, when Recon already is in the game.
