So... free-to-play games now cost $60 ??

FREE-TO-PLAY-TO-WIN! Or in other words, $60 gets you an assault rifle and a pistol. What a downright inhuman display of abject greed; now I have truly seen it all-- removing all weapon pickups from the game and CHARGING players to use them on a per-spawn basis? Truly amazing. And before you recommend “Arena” mode, no, I am not a professional Halo player. I actually have another job that is unrelated to playing video games. And before you come back with some nonsense about “in-game currency”… So I should have to play seven games straight with nothing but an assault rifle and pistol (and no way of traversing the map other than by foot), to earn one chance of possibly drawing the opportunity to use a power weapon/vehicle for 30 seconds until my next death? This game is quite simply a CRIMINAL ACT. WHAT AM I GETTING FOR 60$??

Uhmmm, Its called Playing for it And grinding to obtain weapons. I had a fun time actually. You dont HAVE to have the BR To kill people. There are a lot of other weapons out there that can be picked up bruh. Its called adapting. Deal with it

How many angry posts have you made that I have seen in the last 10 minutes? 4? 5?
II have a degree in criminal Justice and no… Nothing criminal about it. You should have watched playthroughs and researched the game before you bought it. Rookie

Huh?
You do realize the more you rank up and unlock, the more weapons you can use right?
They just put everyone on the same starting page. AR and Pistol.
I frankly suck with the AR this time around so as soon as I unlocked the BR, I now use that exclusively. Pistol’s still good tho!

Arena mode is exactly wtf we have had since halo was born. Don’t be a complete -Yoink-

Perhaps the rest of the game?

I was able to chose a BR start in my warzone load out. everyone started off with a set of reqs they gave you.

Arena is just a fancy term for normal halo multiplayer. It matches you against players of your own skill.

pick up the weapons other people drop.
And you can spawn at several areas of the maps your team controls.
Or ride along in their vehicles.

Yeah dude, each warzone match gives you a GRIP of REQ points. The system for unlocking gear has been very plainly laid out and detailed well before launch.
If you had a problem with it then you shouldn’t of bought the game. It in no way requires you to spend more money on it to unlock everything in the game.
Sit down and earn it just like in every other Halo game. Nerd.

Hell, I’ve played about five games of Warzone and I’ve got weapons coming out the wazoo. Haven’t spent a penny on REQ packs because I don’t need to; earning REQ points is a piece of cake.

No, to answer the op.

I would argue but I have to go to the doctor’s because I think this gave me -Yoink!-

Somebody please tell me that this is satire?

It is pretty dumb. I imagined we’d have all non-power weapons available as permanent reqs by default, but now I’m hesitant to ever call one in. Some jerk comes around the corner and ruins my day after choosing my weapons, and there goes a few games worth of effort in the blink of an eye?
