My company finally got the helmet. After a year of grind and some people getting the hammer for inactivity and others joinning to the cause. With the sweat of less than 30 of 100 members that always playing at least 1 or 2 hours daily. In the last commendations we left more than 130.000 headshots to achieve. SWAT was “obligatory” in the last weeks.
So, this time halo had JUST ONE reason to keep playing and being rewarded for that. I know as a true halo fan I will never (maybe) delete those ~100GB of the game and play it a couple of times a week for fun or nostalgia of this year old game with all his issues and lack of content (especially game modes). I’m sorry but the amount of games recently launched it’s outstandig and i LOVE all the battlefields, gears and forzas since the 360.
I’m a little dissapointed on 343 letting the franchise fall this deep since h4 and MCC, I just reserved my copy of h5 since launch and wasn’t able to play until february thanks to his awfull servers. It was a HUGE let down to me.
I just want to find a good reason to keep playin without any reward for some specific action. Even the hellioskrill armor was REQ’d and now means nothing.
What are your thoughts?
There is (or was) no real reason to play this game anymore if your main goal was just to get Achilles.
I’m starting to think that the only reason why this game still has as many people as it does playing is because there are still quite a few companies that simply want Achilles, but as soon as they get it, they’ll just stop playing.
Is such a grind really worth one set of armor?
I don’t care for it either way. I’m in a Spartan Company that unlocked the body armor, but in all honesty I feel bad because I’ve hardly put in any work. About two weeks after I joined, I started playing Gears 4 via early access and haven’t touched Halo since and have no plan to, unless there’s another update that specifically targets the main complaints the community has had for literally over a year now.

Yeah, maybe I will switch again to shinobi or the good ol’ mark 4 in a couple of days haha. I think is just about sending a message. Like “I did it people” haha
This thread should be locked. There is already a thread saying the exact same thing, and honestly, we don’t need a thread like this every time somebody unlocks Achilles.

All i see is people wearing Achilles, master chief helmets, noble helmets, and wrath helmets, out of all the dang helmets everybody goes for the same one its so sad, also theres not special about the achilles just shows how much u want it and then in the future will mostly change ur helmet unless you wanna look like everyone else

If you want to be “special”, wear seeker then

Well, the majority has spoken. Even I have the need to acknowledge how badly implemented was the progression, req and commendation system in this game. Even in bf4 if you reach colonel 100 you earn a cool but useless bipod for your knife lol
