During matchmaking, I like to check out other people’s service records just to note something interesting (at least to me), I would say, 1 out of 15 players actually played the campaign (in any difficulty mode). I thought maybe at least 50-60% play the campaign but that less than 10% play it comes as a total surprise to me. Yes, Halo MP is fantastic, but so is the campaign, story and lore in general. Interesting only so few play Campaign.
That’s not an accurate representation of who is playing the campaign, though. For example, I have yet to play multiplayer. The only thing I’ve played so far is the campaign. I’m sure there are people like me that are planning on playing (or replaying) the campaign, but they are more excited to jump into multiplayer first. Also, there have been several mentions of people not having their stats and achievements updating properly in campaign. It’s possible you saw stats/achievements that weren’t properly updated and assumed they hadn’t played the campaign even though they had.

once you play MP check people’s record while waiting in lobby for match, you’ll be amazed to see how many do not play campaign, vast majority.
With Reach dropping only a couple days ago, many people are excitedly jumping in and playing MP with their friends. On top of that, the MP was a free addition while the campaign had to be purchased. I know it’s only $10, but that’s still a barrier to entry that will keep some people from diving into the campaign. And tbh, many people have played the campaign back in the day and have backwards compatible 360 versions (like I do). I bought the $10 campaign anyway, but there are plenty out there who are happy to enjoy the free MP and just keep playing the 360 version when they want a dose of campaign play.
Most people only play the Campaign two or three times max, however, people constantly go on multiplayer. Assuming that there are many people who make new accounts or new copies of the game, its no wounder that some people don’t play the Campaign at all, although the 1:15 campaign ratio is suprising
Which game?
Most people only generally play multiplayer in any game. Many people start the campaigns but never even finish them.

yeah but the thing is, there might be many players who never touched mp so can’t really compare. but u are right, many players who play mp have not touched campaign yet.
I don’t think those have ever been accurate and personally you should ignore those pages. My friends pages say they haven’t played them when in fact we played them together. Plus mine glitched out giving me some crazy time and score stats for awhile.
Maybe they want to play the MP first. I mean if you give it some time to develop you may find that the ratio you described may become more even. It’s only been a few days and there is also a barrier to entry for the campaign which people may not want to dish out on atm and instead hold onto their money until they can afford it. I mean it isn’t much but money can be really valuable for some people.

I’m assuming he’s referring to MCC, in which case I can understand not every player playing the campaigns.
As it’s a collection of previously released games, some players may have played the original releases and not feel the need to play them again.
I saw that before, it increases on highest ranks because they only care about that…the rank. And the people who complete all campaigns play less mp than the others because they prefer the story.
