So, as most of us know, there’s been a tad bit of controversy within the Halo community. This is not what I’m here to talk about.
But, I am here to talk about reception on the other end. On the non-Halo fans.
Based on the First Look trailer, (The one on Machinima’s channel), I’d say the reception is pretty good. I’ve been reading a handful of comments, some of them asking “Is this on the PS3?!”, or “PC Version please! :[” .
(Exact quoted comments, mind you.)
So, how do you think reception, as of now, is holding up for the non-Halo enthusiast?

OP: I think it looks fantasic. Graphics are great and the SPARTANS seem more colourful which is a nice touch. Loving the BR too, and the apparant lack of bloom. Hopefully we will get more info soon! There seems to be a bit of a luke warm reception from some, but I think this stesm from the lack of information.
I’m leaning toward the negative side, but I’m going to reserve my final judgment until I actually play the game. We’ll see then if the multiplayer is worth playing. With the information so far, it doesn’t look promising to me.

The problem with Halo isn’t it’s game mechanics, it’s the people who think that EVERY Halo title should be a cut and paste version of 2/3.
I loved H2, and I loved the hell out of H3. I wasn’t too fond of Reach at first, but it grew on me, especially after 343 made changes to the game.
So, when a spoiled brat comes on and trolls with “this game is just like CoD”, just stop. You’re going to buy the game. The majority of the people who will judge this game before it’s released WILL BUY THIS GAME. Why? Because it look’s FRAK’ing awesome.
The people who complain and nit-pick, just do us a favor and DON’T buy the game. Go away.
I can just see it now, those die-hard idiots who prefer specific Halo titles will be complaining up a storm about H4.

LOL, this thread is about discussing how we think other fan bases feel about Halo 4 and I simply said that I think COD fans would approve because it’s adding in one the fundamentals of COD, while you just raged towards me (umprovoked), so why don’t you “Go away”.
In my honest opinion, I love the first look after waiting since they announced it at E3.
However, I really don’t think that some places like Machinima is a good place to have receptions. Especially for Machinima Respawn with their useless CoD gameplay.
But as of right now we can not jump to conclusions until we have play the actual game. I am on 343’s side for innovation.
