SO Excited for halo 4!! Bring on change!

I’ve been a hardcore Halo fan since the launch of CE, I loved that game to death. So much in fact, that me and a friend beat the entire campaign without shooting a bullet just to make an extra challenge for ourselves (really fun actually! Especially trying to take down sentinels and run from flood).

Anyway, I was extremely disappointed with Halo 2’s campaign, it was really terrible and I don’t think that’s even debatable. The multiplayer was fun especially because Xbox live was quite new and all the features were new. But when it came down to it, Halo 2 multiplayer was missing what made Halo CE multiplayer great.

Halo 3 was what Halo 2 should have been IMO, great campaign with an improved multiplayer over 2. Still was missing the CE spirit somehow.

Just wanted to say how excited I am that Bungie has retired and passed it on to 343. Unfortunately my Reach disc just collects dust, and I’ve migrated to the COD series for my online gaming (it’s just plain better than Reach and I don’t care what you guys say).

To hear that 343 is moving Halo in a direction of COD (however you wanna look at it or decipher what has been said), excited me a lot. I always played COD and thought how I wished Halo was like this…but…Halo instead of COD with longer gun battles, epic vehicle battles, everything we love about Halo, but with more customization, more realism, and better graphics.

Anyway, who’s with me? Bring on Halo 4, bring on change!!

You know what I mean, obviously the media and marketing guy is not going to straight up say yes we’re taking hints from COD as it’s the most popular console game and we want our throne back.

I’m not expecting it to be a clone, there probably won’t be anything called perks, and maybe it will be very different. But it’s still taking an idea of multiplayer progression with unlocks that change the gameplay.

Well I though the level design was quite poor compared to CE. It was lacking the epic battles of the previous game, and it was designed MUCH more linear.

Wasn’t a fan of the Arbiter, or English speaking Elite’s. The ending came out of nowhere just when the game started to pick up, I also hated the snipers they were kind of unfair. The only fun and open campaign missions were the one’s in the Mombasa streets…to each his own I guess. I probably overhyped it to I was a little letdown.

More realism…in Halo? That is the opposite of what there should be, you area super soldier in deep space, why would there be any realism there? It’s a sci-fi game.

To be honest, im all for a little change, but no-one wants the new game to be Call of Duty: Future Warfare

Sprint FTW

Same.

Halo 2 went deeper. It focused some more on Humanity, taking the fight to Earth. It opened up an endless pit that is Halo’s Universe, by sheding light on the Halo Array, the Covenant, and the Flood in an epic battle to ensure the safety of Humanity and the galaxy. The characters were broadened, Sgt. Johnson, Guilty Spark, The Arbiter, Miranda, Cortana, etc. And it had a quite sudden cliffhanger that really left everyone waiting to see what would happen next, to the Chief, Cortana, Humanity, The Covenant… The Galaxy.

For the love of God, CoD players are more excited about Halo then some of those who play Halo. Incredible!

I agree with you man… I like the change as long as it has the halo feel to it…

I’m exited that Halo 4 will Evolve combat once again

Whatever you say I never even played COD until Black Ops, I’m a huge Halo fan, the series needs what the popular games are giving gamers. Halo can keep doing what it’s doing and it will lose to COD, the developers know this.

Yes realism, as in actual warfare in space would be. Keep the bright colors and imaginative worlds, but add a layer of realism to the soldiers. In previous games especially reach it’s like the whole game and war is a joke, the AI is always cracking jokes, there is no sense of desperation, no connection to the characters, it’s just a big joke.

So basically turning it into another massproduced piece of junk like every other FPS out there today?

nope basically take what makes COD/Battlefield popular and what makes Halo popular, combine them into something new, steal the fanbase from COD and be the best Halo game ever made.

Whatever you say OP

You cant be Halo fan, if Halo 4 is anything like reach, nevermind COD then i will not play it.

Well this is only because it Didn’t have that feeling of “Newness” and “Mystery”, and instead of being a new, fresh, game that we never played before in a universe we are just learning about and experiencing for the first time, like Halo CE was, its a Third game in a trilogy, that’s was trying to expand new features…

Halo 4 is the first game in a new trilogy/series so it is essentially Halo Combat Evolved 2… IMO
