Idk about you, but I enjoyed this episode quite a lot.
It was different objectives compared to just kill this, kill the other, especially when you defend the generator with mantis. IMO, I think Spartan Ops might be kinda slow or boring at the beginning (the first episodes) but I believe it gets better with the new ones.
I couldn’t agree more. I really liked the action, and the objectives you had to do. Plus I liked how episode 5 ended. It has me wondering if we get to start out with an all out fight for our live’s, Or if we are taken captive, and have to escape from a covenant cruiser. Or maybe something similar.
Definitely seeing the rising action of a story come into play! I really liked this episode. In the future I WOULD like to have a mission where we fight a rogue squad of spartans

I want to play that, but against an entire company of them, Battlefront II style!
Also, I loved this episode, I wonder whats going to happen at the start of episode 6.
OK… still very Yoinked! over not getting codes - didn’t like the direction of the last Spartan Ops - this one redeemed itself in my book. Was tastfull and different. Really didn’t like the “hunt the terrorist” theme on last one - too over played on other platforms and not Halo’s style. I plan to play in through once more and enjoy it befor Halo again gets shelved again till codes come out or I feel a craving for multiplayer… no wait I’m actually probably going to CE anniversary/or Reach for multiplayer… less lag and no mid game join( plus other issues). Spartan Ops only thing keeping Halo 4 afloat for me at this moment.

The action is good but the writing is pretty bad. The characters act like stupid cardboard cutouts. The soldiers come across as insecure whiny -Yoinks!- who are also pretty incompetent. It makes it hard to take the story seriously.
Also, Halsey seemed like a -Yoink- in this episode. For someone as smart as her, she made it quite obvious that she was doing something suspicious.
I’ll continue to enjoy them for the gameplay, but I don’t anticipate the story getting any better.

> In the 5th chapter if you play single player. For some reason, multiplayer gives you warthogs. Guess they couldnt fit 4 mantis’s
This game has its ups and downs for me, but Spartan Ops keeps me wanting more and wishing the videos were longer. Episode 5 was amazing!
I don’t think they should ever fight other Spartans aside from War Games, because honestly, why would they? Unless Del Rio goes crazy or something, but that would be cliche. Save that stuff for games like Call of Duty or something.
The only thing I can’t seem to get my head around is that in the limited edition there’s a blueprint of Thorne’s armor but its clearly the Warrior armor. Does this mean that he will eventually be wearing that later on? He’s quickly become my favorite of the Majestic team. Also does anyone know what armor his right shoulder is? I was going to replicate his armor for my Spartan, but his right shoulder and his forearms aren’t the Recruit type.
> I enjoyed having Miller as the commanding officer figure, instead of Palmer saying egghead this egghead that.

> Yeah, Spartan Ops is definitely picking up. I can’t wait for the next episode!

For me it’s the opposite since he just said “Cya later guys” twice in the last episode. These spartans have zero respect for each other.
Demarco is a bit of a -Yoink!- and Madsen isn’t much better. They come off as Iceman and Slider if you can remember the club scene in Top Gun. Palmer though she’s not technically a member of Majestic, is like trying way too hard to be a hard -Yoink-. I agree about the la I of respect but really they all seem to have a bit of lax when it comes to protocol and authority. Thorne seemed more of a balanced character what with enlisting because of his loss of family and friends and wanting to be a part of the elite. He reminds me of a more “human” MC, and a little bit of Carter too.
