Now that school is starting for most people, that by the time H3 becomes free with Games with Gold, the population will still be low, because everyone will be in school and the population will never go up the way it would have if it were free during summer, like -Yoink!- made us think it would. What a shame. I’m long out of school, but just wished we could have enjoyed a highly populated H3 one last time before XB1 released, like during summer when the time was ripe.

EDIT: This was just me rage posting while drunk again. I have owned H3 since launch and bought a copy for all of my friends (just to play Grifball). The Halo 3 hipe of July had me so excited for a repopulation of H3, that it made me play and enjoy Halo once again in it’s purest form. As the months passed, I just grew angry with the fact that a free H3 in July could have sparked a new hipe that caused H3 owners to all come back at the same time and at the best time to taste H3 one last time for the rest of the summer.
It would have been great for microsoft too for bringing new fans to the greatest franchise in history.

Even though Halo 3 is like 5-10 bucks and almost everyone has a copy??? very misleading.

They never actually stated it would be free during the summer, or that it would be one of the first free games for XBL gold members. All they said at E3 was that it would be ONE OF the free games, which means it will be released anytime up to December 31 when the promotion ends.
Be thankful you’re getting free games.
Requiring dlc to play MM is what is keeping people from coming back.
I would just about bet that Halo 3 will be the last free game of the Games With Gold program on December 16th.
You know what… I completely agree! MS doesn’t care about consumers anymore. They got their money a long time ago and really don’t give 2 -Yoink- about Halo 3.
I bet it will come as the last game on December 16th and at that point no one will even give a -Yoink-. Xbox One will be out… people will be getting Xbox One for Christmas… people will be buying new games and playing those. See where I am going with this? MS said Halo 3 will be free and yeah it probably will be free but they will release it at the worst time possible.
Sorry for being so negative. I just been really pissed off lately with MS bs and stupidity. September’s free games are Magic 2013 and Rainbow Six: Vegas. A new game that no one cares about and a game that came out in 2006. MS doesn’t care about the consumers and are releasing the worst possible games for free. What a bunch of -Yoinks!-.

No. But which one do you really think is more popular? Halo 3 of course. I just wish they would make it free so the population can increase a bit. If MS waits until the last day (December 16th) to make it free then forget about it. No one is going to be coming back to Halo 3. Rainbow Six: Vegas is alright but them giving away Magic 2013… a stupid card game is just ridiculous!
