cause i remember 343 came up with some stupid reasons why things looked different when they brought in their awful art style. like chief had nano machines or something? (since when did halo have those and why were they on an abandoned ship) and the elites were from a moon or some crap, but then they retconned that by makin arby look like the new ugly elites too

but now its all back to normal i guess? like why does everyone look like their og counterparts again. oh let me guess its probably explained in the books

Let’s have a go:

Banished - Easy. The forces you see in Halo 4 and 5 were Jul M Damas Storm Covenant. That’s to say they’re derived from Sangheli worlds who use a different style of armour and weapons that’s more local.

The Banished on the other hand either wear that primitive Brute junk or just have the kit they wore when they were with the Covenant. Which in lore is closer to the Prophets Ascetic of weaponry than the more local variations.

Jackals, Grunts and Elites - Subspecies :blush:

UNSC - Unfortunately, I can’t use the same excuse as the Banished. This is the crew and marines of the Infinity not another vessel. They’ve been Battlestar Galactica for a year. They shouldn’t have been able to issue new fatigues and combat armour and weapons for everybody.

Excuse is, there is no change. This stuff was always there you just never saw these specific divisions in 4/5 and the 4/5 kit is still there on Zeta it’s just on different divisions that we will never see again. Handwave.

Spartans - They change armour like shoes.

Forerunner - Every ring is different. Requiem and Genesis are not Zeta Halo. Sentinels in Halo 4 weren’t different to what we see in Zeta. Since they didn’t redesign Prometheans there isn’t a conflict here.
