Don’t get me wrong 343 when the game isn’t a lagfest I tend to enjoy myself with the multiplayer and can find myself satisfied. I like sprint and some other stuff.
Just get rid of quickspawn…
and get rid of killcams…
Halo 4 can be a good game but the lag makes most people begin picking flaws and hating.
I just want no more killcams and quickspawn.
I’m tired of CODheads snickering at this game for that reason.
I don’t know what do you guys think? Whats your opinion on Quickspawn and Killcams?
Instant respawn doesn’t need to go, however I would it rather be limited to certain playlists. SWAT for an example plays fine with instant respawn. In fact I would go as far as saying it plays better with Instant respawn in comparison to past Halo titles (that said I didn’t enjoy Halo 3’s SWAT and Reach’s played poor because of bloom). I also quite like the fast respawn times in Action Sack ect. However it doesn’t do the game any favors in TS and needs to be removed.
Killcams don’t bother me, however I fail to see the point in them. They are not Halo and do feel to COD like for me.

Its just on slayer type games it seems to take the punishment out of being too hasty in the game. Pretty much all the wannabe rambos with (example) 10-25 KDR is now worse with that feature because in the older titles 5 second spawn was a punishment and gave you the need for in game survival. There’s alot of people who now will die fast knowing they’ll get their grenades and ammo back rather than scavenging guns to survive and keeping out of the line of fire while doing so.
I agree with you on kill cams… I can see maybe an assassination being kill cam worthy but it serves no purpose in a halo game
The problem with quick spawn is that our shields recharge so slowly. If we were to get a buff in recharge time, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem. That said, I think a 3 second respawn timer is fast enough.
In a game with shields that need to recharge, instant respawn has no place. The amount of times I’ve killed a guy only for him to respawn instantly and kill me in return because my shields were down is stupid. This is especially bad on Complex.
It works in SWAT as another poster said simply because there are no shields, so it would actually be beneficial to keep it in that playlist.
I don’t have a problem with the ‘Respawn Faster’ feature which knocks the time down to 3 seconds though.
I don’t know. Instant respawn has helped me in the past to finish my ‘Extermination’ commendation.
Now that I’m done with it, I guess it can go.
Killcams were always a big ‘NO’ for me.
I’ll have to say i agree with all the comments above. Something needs to be fixed on it. It doesn’t belong in slayer or any game type where we have shields. 3 second spawn time sounds like a good Idea.
I just hope 343 can see something like this we don’t want. Something like this can easily be fixed.
I remember when Halo 4 a few months back had the winning killcam which nobody liked including myself. Then it got removed. Very happy they took that out. I felt like I was playing a generic COD with halo painted on it.
Insta-respawn is good in some gametypes/playlists. Flood, SWAT, and BTIS especially if you ask me. From the way I see it, those three benefit the most from insta-respawn, as there’s always a good amount of fighting, and getting back in the action (and because of the player count in Flood/BTB, you can take a breath or two if needed). Perfect, if you ask me.
Insta-respawn, at the least, needs to stay in Customs. If you played Halo back in 3, or heck even Reach, loads of people wanted insta-respawns in Customs at least.
As for Kill Cams, I’ve never ever cared/used them. Do what you want with them. It won’t affect me either way.
However! I would love if Final Kill Cams stayed. They’re just awesome.
Yes 5 second penalty for dying rewards smarter play and it prevents teammates rejoining the action too soon.
Betrayal penalty 5 seconds as well.
10 seconds for CTF should remain.
The game needs to be more draconian to appeal to the hardcore, competitive and life long fans and less softy, softy, stripping the game of traditional features and gameplay to appeal the casual fans that voiced there concerns but then disappeared in 2 seconds as moved straight back to COD,
Mixing COD with Halo just doesn’t work. It’s a foul tasting cocktail. Imagine if someone gave you half a car or half a house, how useless would it be? Halo needs to decide what it wants because commitment issues leave other people cheating on other people.

I beg to differ. Instaspawn works the best in SWAT, but that still doesn’t mean it works. I’ll give you an anecdote: I was on a SWAT kick last month and most of my games were on Haven. If I was on red team my team and I would push to control mohawk and blue stree, but we hit a problem. The other team was dying so fast that in turn, they spawned at our inital spawn (which should NEVER happen) and took us out while we were unprepared.
Basically, instaspawn can’t work because it doesn’t give you enough time to recharge shields/health and kill more enemies. Combine that with other things like dynamic spawning and SWAT settings and you get a very bad experience. In shooters, dying should ALWAYS result in a penalty of some sort, even if it’s just three seconds.
