Playing some warzone tonight and it seems no one actually trys to destroy him. He is a bit OP IMO. The “needle blast” seems to kill you no matter where you are or what you are in … should they nerf him a bit? Or at least make him worth a bit more?
I have maintained my pledge to stop playing PvP Warzone once Firefight was released, but I heard that Mythic bosses like the Grunt Goblin are worth 200 VP. If so, that is already an awfully big chunk of a 1000-point winning score. On the other hand, if he is so difficult to defeat in PvP Warzone that people rarely make an attempt, maybe it’s time to consider lowering the damage that he can withstand.
They need to do something. A recent game of mine:
Brand new Corp. Scorpion? Check
Driver Wheelman mod? Check
Gunner Wheelman mod? Check
Single shot from a Grunt Goblin? BOOM!
Good grief…
His needle blast is powerful, but can be avoided if you stay near cover or a corner. It still does major damage even with Wheelman on.
Other than that, I don’t know how it works in PvP, he’s pretty annoying but easily destroyed by a team in WZFF.
I don’t think they should nerf it though, Wardens are pretty difficult, but that’s why they’re worth so many points.

Indeed. One-shorted my benshee ultra.
nope. Never have… but my vote doesn’t count cuz my xbox broke before i could play the update
Over all I am not liking these “tougher” bosses. They aren’t really tougher they are just bullet sponges. They aren’t fun to fight they are just tedious chores now.

Yeah, you know the two mantis bosses on noctus? I VERY rarely see people go after them, why? Because they’re bullet sponges.
I think the only time/map players go for the boss is on Noctus, since he spawns in the monument.
That’s been my experience also OP. People just ignore him and I do to. It takes half your team and a ton of rounds to take him down, meanwhile your bases are left unguarded for too long and you aren’t pushing the other team. Not worth it.
My question is, has anyone had to challenge two grunt mechs in two separate rounds within the same match? The other night on Sanctum round 3 was a grunt mech which we defeated. Round 4 was another one but 1 of 3 bosses! I know one was Pipap or whatever but I forget what the other grunt mech was called. Of course we didn’t win 4th round haha.
It seemed like everyone gave up calling in REQs after dying withing the 4th round. I don’t blame them it seems useless to grind on a boss twice after he kills you with ease especially from taking cover.
I killed Tomp and Pipap in Attack on Sactum.
Yes… Grunt goblin killing is my speciality. One of my specialties.
If I’m bored, I’ll give it a shot. But he’s one tough sucker.
Usually, I just ignore him in favor of smaller, easier bosses to take down. That, and I can never get my teammates together for a coordinated assault.
I’ve beaten him on most of the maps, only one that i never beat was the Raid on Apex 7 one. It’s pretty much impossible with all those high ranking knights with incineration cannons with him.
Oftentimes I feel like the Grunt Goblin is the victor of the Warzone matches, not the spartans… as he is usually the last one standing.
Lol, and still nobody realizes that you can one-shot him by shooting the front of the cockpit with a Sniper Rifle…
Oops…
I don’t think I’ve ever actually lost a Grunt Goblin round.
While I’m not sure about in standard warzone, I know in Firefight all I need is a ultra ghost and all the support grunts splattered on my windshield to get the job done.
