So discouraging...

Nothing is more discouraging for new players, than being told by your teammates that you should quit playing Halo. I just played a game of slayer where I went 7-2. Now I know 7 kills isn’t much but I had the fewest deaths on my team. When we won and I saw my 3.5 K/D I was finally feeling good about not sucking. Then I get a message… From a player who I was on my team telling me that I was the weakest player on our team, and I should just quit playing. If Halo 5 isn’t growing as a community then behavior like that isn’t going to help.

Dude, man up. Who gives a -Yoink- what someone says over the internet.

I feel like it’s better to have less kills and even fewer deaths. I’d like it a lot more if that were the case rather than myself and other teammates having to accommodate someone who is going negative.

Don’t really know why the guy was upset. Don’t let it get to you.

Ignore them, kiddo,

Don’t let the trolls get to you… just block communication from them.

I’ll take 7-2 any day. please

Ignore them. They are wrong. Focusing on staying alive is important. 7-2 is a good game, you only gave the enemy 2 points. People forget how important it is to just stay alive. Not every encounter has to end in kill/death. Take your shots and bail out if needed A teammate might clean up the kill.

I had one bad day and hit a wall in Warzone with something like 4 kills against 15 deaths, and 2 boss kills and I got called out for it by some dude saying I was bollocks!

It would be wise to listen to your uncleVadersUncle.

I mean he didn’t hurt my feelings I’ve been told worse honestly, but it’s just with a game like Halo it takes a lot of practice and there is quite a bit to learn shouldn’t we give credit to people who are trying their hardest to win and learn? Not try make them feel like crap for actually doing their best. It is what it is I guess.

Also people who play this game much realize that each game can have huge swings in performance, so no need to call anyone out. For example you might get matched against your rank and lower with no lag and dominate. The very next match you might get thrown in with your rank and higher WITH lag, and get absolutely crushed. I have finally figured out that my skill (or lack of skill) is pretty steady, it’s the quality of my opponents and the connection quality that makes the difference.

Never let the opinions of you by others determine your sense of self worth. I know I largely stink at this game, but I’m still here. Just have fun. Having fun with friends is even better. Besides, if any one says anything bad, I can always ban them until 2552 (jk).

Lol, wait a minute. Are you being sarcastic?

OP shake it off. You cannot control what others do, so don’t let that control you.

Seriously. Text on a screen only has as little or as much impact on you as you decide.

Well, not even just the text. He/she/it is somebody you do not know who is giving you crap. Ignore him and go on in life.

Haters gonna’ hate. Don’t listen to him; the fact that you only gave up two kills means you helped the team out by not dying and going positive. There are always going to be stupid people so don’t let it get you down. Congrats and keep on keepin’ on!

Totally agree with this.

Some games you can go on a spree, the next shoot into an enemy like they are a pillow and end up negative.

I’m not a gun at this game but I know that when the connection is good I’m getting head shots. When it’s bad it is none existent and have to switch to close combat weapons. The swings in performance (internet / system) can be frustrating.

On topic we should all be supporting each other in any game. Without each other as a community of players there is no online gaming. We need the casuals just as much as the pros.

I get it all the time but i get you cheater cause some games i go 20-10 they turn around and they most stupid stuff people get pissed at things and go off at you aslong as you feel your doing good in a game youll be fine dont worry about others opinions

Wait, what? Someone gave you -Yoink- because you were going 7-2? You helped the team win the match, and most definitely weren’t a liability. Dude’s a moron.

Weakest player, really? When you literally gave up the least points?

LOL. Point out that sorry -yoinks- deaths instead. I’d be like “shoot, at least I didn’t feed as many kills to the other team as you did.”
