So demand for new vehicles isn't high enough?

I’m completely sick of this. Does 343 even bother to read the forums? Not once have they seen a thread, or maybe a couple thousand, asking for the Falcon to return?

And their stupid excuse is that “the forums do not represent the population of the game”. Then tell me why we even have forums at all. The population is already so low most players are probably on this site.

I agree.

I want the Falcon back, too. I’m upset that it didn’t come with Forge Island. It would have been good on that map.

I’m hoping we get it in the next Halo game.

> I’m completely sick of this. Does 343 even bother to read the forums? Not once have they seen a thread, or maybe a couple thousand, asking for the Falcon to return?

There have probably been, at most, one hundred threads asking for the Falcon to return. There may be hundreds more people who agreed with the OP of those threads, but there could also be a good deal of overlap. “A couple thousand” is far overblowing the popularity of the request.

> And their stupid excuse is that “the forums do not represent the population of the game”. Then tell me why we even have forums at all. The population is already so low most players are probably on this site.

These forums are a sanctioned place to discuss the various topics of Halo, for all that wish to do so. That’s all they’re for, for the most part. It’s true that 343 does take feedback from the forums to an extent, and it’s true that there are ulterior motives for having forums – that is, having a ready-made place for fans to go to on a regular basis is a good way to keep those fans thinking about the franchise, which keeps them interested in the products longer than if there were no forums. But on the whole, this place is just for us to hash things out.

And as low as Halo 4’s population may or may not be, this forum’s population is definitely much smaller. It doesn’t look like these forums provide numbers with which to prove that, so the most I can point to is observing the frequency of new topics and new posts. Unless there is a big news day, new threads throughout the entire forum system can be an hour apart or more, and new posts can be a half hour apart or more. That’s very, very few forum participants.

THIS X1000!

Seriously, I’ve been wanting and asking for the Hornet, Falcon, Elephant and more to be back in Halo. I am SO perplexed by Frank’s response here.

And I personally believe the forums ARE a good representation of those ACTIVE players of Halo, or at least those willing to be active in the discussion of the franchise. We are the ones who keep Halo alive from a fan perspective. So all of those who don’t or choose not to have a voice? Well, they aren’t speaking up, so with respect to them, then shouldn’t count when it comes to game requests.

I’ve seen MANY threads/posts asking for more vehicles in Halo.

I think part of the issue is that many of the maps in Halo 4 wouldn’t be able to handle something like a Falcon or Hornet. Those rare few that have Banshees should have those two as well.

As for the Elephant or Mammoth, we’d need a MASSIVE OPEN map for either/both of those.

I agree, but there was a post where someone had mentioned that 343 may have ideas on bringing a new vehicle to Halo 4, which i believe is either the Hornet or Falcon. However, under that, I read that it may not happen due to the lack of support from the community and all that jazz. I’ll try to find the link, cuz i believe it was Frankie who said it. If not, i’ll try to PM admins, cuz i’m pretty curious.

Correct, but considering we are all Halo fans, we can easily be taken as a “sample” of the Halo Fan-base, just because someone is complaining on the Forums does not mean no one else is complaining elsewhere, to the contrary, it is far more likely that one view on the forums represent many others.

On topic, I agree, I have already made a thread with the exact quote in it.

He said that there wasn’t enough demand for an entire vehicle pack. If a new vehicle is ever released, it most certainly won’t come in a pack. If new vehicles came in a pack of vehicles, people would just complain that they aren’t used enough.

A vehicle pack is a bad idea, and there is certainly not enough demand for it.

Waypoint is a minority group in the greater Halo community.

Just saying…

It is a sample of the overall Halo community.

Ever go to Costco? They give you small samples of some foods before you buy it, and 99% of the time they taste the same as the sample.

Not necessarily. I like to think people are more complex than food.

IDK what 343 is thinking…either that or they are just making up a BS excuse. One of the most asked for things on this forum and in the YouTube community was bringing back the Falcon and allowing you to play as an Elite.

So, despite how polls and studies are normally conducted you don’t think samples reflect the general population? K.

343 is just making up BS excuses. They should do an in-game poll as soon as you load up the game and see how many people want the Falcon back, bet it would be the majority.

Or look at the most popular playlist, the BTIS one which has lots of vehicles in it. The vehicle playlist is the most popular, can put it any simpler?

In the case of food products that need to be heated, they CAN differ.

But it is sad how this place is hardly an official forum…

> So, despite how polls and studies are normally conducted you don’t think samples reflect the general population? K.

People aren’t all the same. Polls take care to evenly represent the population. You can’t just poll everyone from a minority group and expect the results to accurately reflect everyone else.

The people on Waypoint are a minority group of devoted fans (Otherwise why bother posting?), not an accurate representation of the population as a whole.

Go check out Halo 4 MM and tell me what’s the most popular Playlist. It’s the one with vehicles isn’t it?

Who wouldn’t want the Falcon back?

The Falcon was Awesome!

And big teams.

And sniping.

Also, just because someone likes vehicle combat doesn’t necessarily mean they want new ones.
