They confirmed COD’s own version of PV. They only see you if you stand still.
Is it just me or are they scared that Halo 4 will beat them so badly that they have to implement this copy of PV in theiir game?

I think it’s a coincidence, Black Ops 2 has probably been in production since 2010 before any Halo 4 related news was out
CoD is trying to explore their franchise in new ways…however yes I do believe that they were influenced by Halos involvement. However Halo was not the first to come up with ‘PV’. Blacklight has its own version and several games before that as well.
You can see through the walls in Ghost Recon FS.
At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter. If a consumer finds both games to be fun by his/her own definition, then that’s all they need to keep playing the game regardless of similar features between the two.

That is a fantastic idea for how to nerf PV!
Maybe. I highly doubt it though.
People need to stop saying that video-games are copying each other. Gets really annoying. “OMG Halo is copying CoD, I don’t want to play this game.” “CoD copies Halo all the time!”
Just because a game has something in common doesn’t mean that they are copying each other. Even if one specific game didn’t exist, an other game could have possibly still had what they were supposedly “copying.”
Because halo isn’t doing its fair share of copying? Not to mention I doubt cod could have copied it that quickly.

Score 1 for Call of Duty.
halo 4 has been in production for 3 years… meaning that its production started, in secret, in 2009. a year before CODBLOPS2 even if it did start being produced in 2010.

I’m pretty sure Halo didn’t invent xray vision.

Another thing we can thank Superman for.
Hey, for what it’s worth, I can respect Treyarch to the extent that they are actually experimenting with different gameplay mechanics, original or not. The COD series hardly ever changes, and when it does it always seems that Treyarch is the first to add new things like a survival mode i.e. zombies (WaW); Split Screen Online, theatre mode, wager matches, etc (Blops); and now this. That’s far more than IW can say.

Who’s keeping score?
I want to ask the developers where were they got the idea of multi-team tdm
Its actually a nerf for the ghost perk you cant be detected by enemy UAV while you are moving so no COD isn’t copying Halo and Promethean vision is just Enhanced vision which i taking from Shadowrun.
I like how when 1 tiny similar thing that’s been in a hundred games like perks are added in halo 4 (I know they’re not the same) eveyone from COD is like “YOU STOLE OUR IDEA WE DID IT FIRST WAAA” and when the same thing happens to CoD, the halo community thinks “oh well, a ton of games did that before us, it’s only fair, plus it could be coincidence”
X-ray vision abilities were not patented or even popularized by Halo 4, and given that Black Ops 2 has been in development for two years I’d say it’s extremely unlikely.
Sadly, their version is far more balanced than PV.

But then Promethean Vision would be useless in Halo 4, since nobody ever stands still (with the exception of Snipers, who are too far away to matter anyway).
Really, Promethean Vision isn’t as powerful as people claim.
