So by "Network Test" they mean CLOSED HALO 4 BETA!

That’s right, after saying they didn’t plan on a beta, they not only had one, but a CLOSED Beta. Why -Yoink!- why?!

Calm down, they always planned to have one just internally. most input from the public is useless anyway.

They’re sparing us honestly. Game looks absolutely horrid and nothing like Halo.

Because the game has to be tested?

An open beta (which isn’t even really a beta) takes time out a development as the developers have to choose what goes into the public demo. Internal betas don’t quite require this level of discretion. And of course they’re having internal tests, it’s part of the development cycle.

Pick one or two maps that will test every aspect of gameplay. That means vehicles, weapons, power-ups, and whatnot. Ta dah.

EVERY game has a Beta.

It’s really not that simple. I suggest you research the game development cycle and what it entails.

In addition, the public beta we get is actually what the developer might call the “gamma” build. Public betas are nearly finished products, used almost exclusively to search for bugs and demo the game in question.

Time that will be used to shove in more unnecessary crap and gimmicks ?? 343 just keep shoving as much as possible into this game. They fail to realise that fat needs to trimmed as well as new content added. An internal test is not enough for a game of this scale. The game needs to be tested by hundreds of thousands or even millions if we are going to get a smooth launch.
