cannon fodder, blue team all upgraded to GEN2, how on earth is osiris gonna cope ;)!
anyone else notice yet???
One of the biggest arguments on why Locke would beat John in a fight was that Locke had the superior armor. Fireteam Osiris is going to have to face one of the most established teams in Spartan history consisting of members that can predict the moves of their teammates like its on the back of their hands. Now Osiris has lost pretty much their only advantage on Blue Team which was superiority in armor. It is not looking too good for them.

Agreed, it’s been stated by frankie him self that a SII gen1 is equivalent to SIV gen 2, but SII gen 2 thats just overkill. ;)!
I’ve said it for a long time, no one will listen. SII’s eat III’s and poop IV’s. This should at least put an end to the SIV’s have better armor, thats what makes them equal or better threads.
Yeah, I don’t see why people think there’s gonna be some huge fight to the death. We know that Ben Giroud is actively trying to clear Chief’s name, so maybe by the time Osiris and Blue Team find each other, they will be working together. Here’s the thing: We don’t know Locke’s orders. Are they to find Blue Team? Or are they to kill Blue Team. We don’t know at this point. Maybe more will be revealed at E3

i dont think there will be either, but i do think locke will find chief, and issue some form of I’m here to bring you in and arrest you etc. Chief wont want to and perhaps a scuffle, or perhaps turn of event chief uses the oportunity to turn himself in to get back to ONI/UNSC and tell them that he can stop the anomalies should they let him do his thing
The first encounter with these two teams will be glorious.
Considering they probably won’t be fighting much I don’t think it really matters.
Is unclear to what extent the Gen 2 applies. The Thrusters and Shields have been upgraded but theres no indication that Blue teams armours have the same power assist as the other Gen 2 armours.
I can imagine Fred taking buck Linda taking Olympia Kelly taking mercer and chief vs Locke. It’s Gona be hard to watch between buck and Fred o like both characters.
Is Chief is still wearing his customized Mark VI Cortana Special armor, or did he get upgraded to Gen2 with an exact duplicate of that armor’s aesthetics?

he got upgraded the scar on his chest is gone
I don’t think combat ability scales in that sense from better MJOLNIR.
If you put two people in identical cars, the cars still have the same top speed. GEN2 is probably a matter of diminishing returns for the IIs.
Im pretty sure the designation of gen 2 for blue team refers to the upgrades that cortanta did to Chief’s mark VI armour. Chief is pretty much wearing a more improved or repaired Mark VI that he wore in Halo 4.
isn’t the explanation they give for blue teams new armour being that chief’s modified Mark VI upgrades were shared with blue team. So yeah they are gen 2 armour but its not the same as Spartan 4 gen 2 armour. They have even said that Fireteam Osirus have super advanced armour that is far superior to blue teams gen 2 armour.

This is from the Cannon Fodder post.
JOHN-117
**MK.VI (GEN2)**ARMOR: Without question the most famous of all Mjolnir permutations, the GEN2 MARK VI has been completely updated to modern powered assault armor standards.
HELMET: Key features of the iconic Mark VI helmet design have been retained in all of its newer permutations.
MANUFACTURER: Materials Group
I’m seeing new armor here, not the armor Cortana upgraded in H4.

Well, not Cortana’s custom armour, but I (and multiple sources) think it is the old suit with further upgraded tech from GEN II when they fixed John’s armour after Blue Team’s fight with the Didact.

Yeah but put a better driver in the same car on a race track against someone with less experience and then what?!
343 always implied that a gen1 s2 v sIV are equal, so that would mean if a s2 had gen 2 they’d also then overtake and be better
Osiris will probably find some way to cope for plot reasons. Buck could probably handle it with his sheer amount of experience, but Buck also wasn’t a Spartan before. Blue team still out experiences them all.
When you think about it there really isn’t a reason that Blue team would lose in a straight up fight, which is probably why the fight (if there is one) won’t be a straight up fight.
well 343 lost there chance to change the cheifs armor since everyone was complaining about it but lockes team is in for an -Yoink- whooping
