So around 12 days early? But why?

So I love halo and want to explore all its glory the same as a lot of other people. Have been a fan from day one and still am. But I’m starting to wonder why it is that it is okay for all these spoilers, I understand launch trailers and I get little quick pop ad videos. As an avid fan of the game I think it is ridiculous, shameful and down right unfair. One of the greatest thing about every and any game is that first experience, than taking that and trying to find easter eggs / glitches. The story to the game, the single most important part of the fifth installment of this game is being spoiled EVERYWHERE. I cannot leave a social network a website (ign, giant bomb, gamespot and others) without seeing something new every time i open a browser. I don’t myself understand and would like to. I did hear a while back that people that purchased the collectors edition would get the game a week early or something like that but that may be wrong and I may be wrong and that’s fine. Just please tell me why spoil the most important part of this game. And why is it I feel like you don’t care about how the story hits fans. We should all get to experience this at the same time and no one should get special treatment including myself. For a lot of people this is there last chance to want to go back to halo and I don’t myself say that for me I say that for a lot of people that I talk to. No it may not be 100,000 people but still losing one person is and should be like loosing 100 people or even more. I wish this wouldn’t have happened and would hope that this would all stop.

I wish you all the best and would hope I could get a response
Respectfully,
Bullet Lag

PS if anyone want to get in contact with me about this my GT is Bullet Lag

Just go Dark its like losing your virginity if you want to lose your virginity you will go out and meet people. if you want to be spoiled odds are you’ll be somewhere on the internet there is not much you can do to stop spoilers its side affect of the internet.

That not the point, I do play on going dark and not looking but i already know 6 people who have canceled there pre-order and refuse to buy it now just because of this. And avid fans to the series. You would think there would be more care to it than this.

I’m not trying to avoid spoilers and I haven’t run into any. Just because some people get to play the game early doesn’t mean it’s ruined for everyone else. Who would cancel their pre-order just because other people got the game early. Seems like their loss.

So… Are you blaming the people posting spoilers on 343? Or questioning why trolls troll? Or…?

Because of what?
That doesn’t seem very avid of them.
Care to what?

No offense but your friends may be a bit… idiotic.

I can understand the defense that you all have for this but its every game, and don’t get me wrong i do know that some of it is stupid but at the same time doesn’t it seem a little stupid and idiotic to say that the game is out now and live? That people are playing it and that they are progressing faster than anyone? That there are people seeing the entirety of the game and showing it to everyone before it even releases. This is not just about how I feel its about more than that.

The best thing to do is to avoid Social Media and the internet to avoid spoilers. Just get on Xbox Live and play through the Halo Campaigns for the next week, that should help pass the next week and avoid spoilers of course

simple idea, avoid youtube and gaming sites, if you still want to see stuff but don’t want spoilers… you’re mad, and not the fun kind that bites. go dark or be VERY specific with your searches.

Boy, that’s pretty dramatic. Those must be some interesting characters if they are canceling their preorders because of that. I think they may be taking themselves and their experiences a little too seriously. As much as we all love Halo there’s no reason we need to get all weird because press are playing the game a month/a week before release.

it is what it is man. No control. its done. just try not to watch the videos… i can say i haven’t seen any of the ign videos or youtube…

I’m not 100% sure what you’re talking about. As far as I know, purchasing the collector’s edition lets you download the game early but it’s locked until Oct 27; they aren’t progressing faster than anyone because they shouldn’t even be playing. I know press and a small few youtubers have early access but, y’know, you can just not watch their videos. It’s very easy to avoid spoilers; I’ve looked at Halo-related media on the Internet every week this month and haven’t seen anything. Just stay off social media, I guess?

Why would I care for the early access and spoilers if I am not looking to watch such things? I have control of myself I mean… If they already played it its none of my bussiness. I won’t throw my pre-order as I haven’t experience the game plz.

An employee at 343i farts, and three gamers these days jump up and say, ‘we are pre-cancelling’

Means nothing. Unimportant people just trying to feel important

I thought i might be free of spoilers by just sticking to Achievement Hunter and music videos when entering YouTube, but i was wrong. They’re streaming Halo 5 campaign as of now.

Well, yeah. That’s one way to explain it xD

I mean, yeah, I am seeing some footage/streams of the campaign appear around the internet. However, I have never once seen a video where it doesn’t give you plenty of warning of what you are about to watch. So if you don’t want to spoil it, then it is your fault if you click on thay video.

As for people who decide to spoil the story of the game in the comment sections and whatnot, nothing you can do about those -Yoinks!-.

As for why some people can play the game early, it is most likely a review copy. Microsoft can tell reviewers what they can and cannot do, and when and what content they can post and show off in video format and screenshots. From what I have seen though, I have yet to see a single video from any unofficial sources, so I fail to see what the big deal is.

Its not the fact that the experience is not there its the fact that the games already been played through and has been spoiled for them. And don’t get me wrong it may be there fault but at the same time I have had something spoiled for me in the game already because of a image and words. To some people the story is all that matters.
