So are bioroids canon?

The new armour for H2A is clearly not meant to be canon for the most part.
But the bioroid lore is pretty cool and sort of plausible as a attempt to fight the flood pre instalations also the aesthetic is similar to the harbinger.

So whats all that about?

they are part of fractures, as are all the mech and power rangers inspired stuff in H2A and all the medieval armors in H3. Fractures is non-canon stuff, but with lore that has similarities to the canon to act as a sort of “What If” or “alternate history” of Halo.

Plus the Bioroid stuff seems inspired by Guyver, so this MCC update seems to mostly be a Tokusatsu themed update between Guyver, Power Rangers/Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider- and then they threw Gundam in there for folks who don’t know or care about the others.
