So... any more updates?

I mean, there’s still plenty of bugs to fix (still waiting on fixes for Cutter’s Battle Hardened passive and the cloaking generator passive for Shipmaster…) and balancing to do yet. But I’ve seen nothing but silence from the devs ever since Kinsano was released.

Is it too much to ask for some updates? Or even a little communication?

Every third, Wednesday or Thursday, of the month Is the when they said they will release new DLC, I’d assume that is when updates for balance and bugs will be fixed also.

That’s not very good.

Fixes should not take a month to make and release. Especially for the really important issues.

You should become a game developer and go help out for free

I don’t think you named any really game breaking issues.

Shipmaster is pretty strong with or without cloaking thing.

I do agree on the need for more communication with the playerbase

That’s still a month.

I agree they’ve been quiet since Kinsano but I was too lazy to make a thread about it lol.

I mean it would be nice if they would tell us what they’re working on

Well we know they listen to player feedback. check out that thread. We also already know they are working on new leaders and fixes as that is their job, they told us that already.

There’s actually a couple of bugs that are inexcusable to be still in a game out for this long. I suspect the reason there’s so much time between updates is because console games don’t get updated as frequently for various reasons.

A month might seem a ling time, but generally in software development sprints run for about 2 weeks. The additional 2 weeks gives leeway for discussion, testing, QA and certification. If there is a huge issue that needs patched then hotfixes can be produced, but fixes each month for a game as big as Halo is pretty decent I think. All depends on the ability to correctly reproduce issues and get a fix out, so anything you encounter be sure to report, with as much detail as possible (screenshots / videos) in the support forums. Tech issues should be forwarded to Xbox Live Support ( see the pinned threads in support for more details)

But they could still tell us what they are listening to. It isn’t enough to assume.

Also the bug where, you know, shipmaster can teloport your whole army to oblivion…

That is the definition of game breaking

They did talk about some stuff. Go ahead and tell them yourself. this is a bit unconstructive

patching bugs for the PC is easy. the problem is with the consoles. every update or DLC they apply has to go through MS/Sony before it makes it to the general population. that’s most likely why bug fixes take so long. they try to cram as much stuff into each update. you’ve probably noticed with other games that are available on all platforms, PC plays always get the update weeks ahead of the consoles. Steam doesn’t have the same restrictions.

Where? And ask them where? The hardly ever respond here so…

At least I am bringing up what is wrong. You can’t fix something if you only focus on what’s working.

Feedback, twitter. you can do it. I beleb in you

What’s wrong with either of those two things? Cloaking field takes till getting tech 3 and is nothing compared to forges or Isebella’s discount garage. Quicker veterans still requires playing well as well. Games pretty well balanced atm. Still some bugs to be fixed sure, but nothing game breaking I’ve seen.

Communication is every third Wednesday. As Sticker said, software changes are not quick to make, and they’re pumping a new leader every couple of weeks. Plus, hopefully, maps.

They’re not under or over-powered. They’re flat-out broken, as in not working as intended. Battle Hardened DISABLES veterancy gain once obtained, and the cloaking passive causes cloaking generators to stop working completely.

I don’t know about you, but I think things that define the leaders and make them unique are very, VERY high priority on having them work as intended.

I’d kind of understand the software changes excuse if this were a small mod development team, or an inexperienced dev team. But they’re neither of those, and there are indy and mod developers out there that put out major updates (with more content) in half the time it’s taking 343/CA. This lack of progress and communication is inexcusable.

Well, ok. I don’t even use it in the first place but I guess I could give it a try and see how active they are there. I just think it’s rediculous that they aren’t the most active in their own website… Come on, even you have to admit that makes no sense.

Say hi to Ske7ch. checkout the news section.

Still nothing about Battle Hardened, nor having Skulls only affect human players in Skirmish, or even adding exp/rewards to Firefight…

This “1 major update once a month” thing will be the death of this game, because they really need to be pushing out fixes ASAP. And only putting one balance update out a month will not work. At all.

Clearly you have zero knowledge of software development. Monthly releases are really not uncommon, nor poor. Also, they released an update today with bug fixes, so its clearly less then a month in certain scenarios.
