We’re only getting a single weapon? A weapon that should’ve been since day one, they even renamed “Bandit” to make us think that’s it’s a new weapon. That’s very poor and lazy from 343.

Supposedly it’s supposed to feel like the H5 Magnum, which should be good. While it may seem lazy, it’s more just fan service since the DMR had no place in the sandbox when we also had the BR. Since the Bandit will play differently (having a faster ROF), it has a place in the sandbox.

I wonder how viable this will be for Ranked Arena… What maps will it even be on? 1 of the 4 left in rotation? 
What do you expect from the company that gets rid of its own forums?
Isn’t that already the Commando and Sidekick’s spot in the sandbox?

It is a different weapon. It really only looks like a DMR but the functionality is not even close to the same.
You’re getting a new weapon in season 4 anyway. In case you didn’t know.

I honestly would Have expected them to just copy the stats of the Power/Red DMR from Halo Online, since that thing was basically the exact same.

It’s a monumental achievement by 343 from their point of view, because of technical debt.
Basically in layman’s terms, it means that after the game was already made, it was near impossible to do surgery on it, and doing so was such a high-risk process that needed very careful intrinsic work and operation to do without killing the host.
Think of it like, separating oil from water, or picking sugar from the beach, or a needle in a haystack.
It’s actually quite an achievement. But as an ungrateful piece of work that I am, I SIMPLY DO NOT CARE.
Kind of, but I think the Bandit will be even faster, while also doing more damage. Think of it as combining the Sidekick’s fire rate and bloom, with the Commando’s damage.
Or just think of it as the H5 Pistol.
Supposedly it will be a higher skill ceiling weapon for HCS and Ranked. It also seems to be a starting weapon for BTB soon.
