I really agree with the req changes and how 343 changed the way we play now in warzone. But about the magnums. So people prefer the br to the magnums. Are 343, (343 directly) moving the req lvl (of magnum) based on people who owns the magnum (tactical,gun fighter,)? Because the magnums are ultra rare , so they are pretty hard to get. I keep on buying silvers and got all the certificate. Then all thats left is the few commons armor and helms. So i started buying the golds, and usually its 1 common,1-2 ultra rare, or 1 common,1 ultra rare, and 1 legend (perma reqs). And so im not complaining. Im just saying my point that there are way more br variants then magnum’s. Which is why i think people prefer the br. (my opinions) Feel free to judge. (lvl 69)
You’re probably not wrong, really. Halo 5 still continues to gather new players, and those magnums, like you said, aren’t quite as common as all of the various BR variants.
The issue with the magnum is that it requires a perfect 5-shot for a kill. While the kill time is ALMOST the same as the BR with perfect accuracy, though the BR is slightly faster, it’s consistency that’s the issue. You have to hit 5 shots for a kill instead of 4, and with no 3-bullet spread like the br has, it’s much easier to miss and deal no damage entirely. While the magnum is fun and can compete, in general it’s just putting yourself at a disadvantage in fights, and that problem gets worse and worse later in games as players unlock and begin using BR weapon upgrades that arent available to magnum users.
