you can have a elephant vehicle in Halo 3, add an even ebtter one in Halo 4 campaign, but you can’t make another sandtrap like map and put this one on multiplayer?
I don’t see the appeal of having something THAT big and expecting it to work in MP TBH. In order for that Mammoth to work, we would need a BF sized map ;/
Have you seen the Mammoth in action?
A map to support the Mammoth would have to be at least twice, maybe 3 times the size of Sandtrap.
The Mammoth is a mammoth, gigantic. Easily double the size of the Elephant. It has rocket turrets on the side and carries multiple warthogs, tons of weapons, and canonically need a large crew to operate. It was extremely hard to damage and has a MAC gun on top. Thats not exactly multiplayer suitable.
The only way I see a Mammoth being implented into multiplayer is like this:
The Mammoth isn’t drivable. Perhaps its in the center of the map, mostly destroyed. A nice peice of scenery and a major focal point of the map.
That’s why he’s asking for another Sandtrap like map where we had mobile bases akin to the Halo 4 Mammoth. It was great for Bomb and CTF.
This is true, I’d still like to see it happen though, or at the very least get flying UNSC vehicles back.

“Another Sand trap like map” wouldn’t be able to house two Mammoths (let alone one) without some series frame rate and bandwith issues. You would need a map 100x the size of Sandtrap and that just would not work with Halo 4. Unless i am mistaken, this is not BF 3 on the PC.
Yes you’d need a large map for it and I don’t think that would be too difficult to do. If you did this, why not just have the Mammoth move along at a set speed on a pre-scripted path? That way it really doesn’t give one team or another any particular advantage and people still get to play with it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have one to drive but I think that’s outside of the realm of likeliness.
