So after reviewing the control schemes again the only one I would be happy with is Recon. And that’s ONLY if Sprint can be toggled by a tap, because otherwise it has no use on the X button. So if it can’t be toggled I really hope 343 isn’t done with the control schemes…
I’d like one maybe like this:
RB - Action/Reload
LB - Sprint
RT - Fire Weapon
LT - Throw Grenade
Y - Switch Weapons
X - AA
B - Melee
A - Jump
LS - Croutch
RS - Zoom
D-Pad - Ordinance and switch grenades.
or
RB - Action/Reload
LB - AA
RT - Fire Weapon
LT - Throw Grenade
Y - Switch Weapons
X - Croutch
B - Melee
A - Jump
LS - Sprint
RS - Zoom
D-Pad - Ordinance and switch grenades.
In Reach sprint was toggled by ‘a tap’, and also, sprint feels fine on ‘X’. Go try out Reach’s ‘bumper jumper’ control scheme and try it out for yourself.
I know some people want custom control schemes, that would solve my problem. But so would simply adding some more control schemes. Not only one of these that I would perfer but maybe one or more too to satisfy many more people as well.
Here’s mine.
Bumper jumper
RB - AA
LB - Jump
RT - Fire Weapon
LT - Throw Grenade
Y - Switch Weapons
X - Sprint
B - Action/reload
A - Melee
LS - Movement/ crouch
RS - Look/ zoom
D-Pad - Select grenade
I never really had a problem with sprint as a button, it actually works quite well for me.
halo 4’s control scheme just got more complicated with sprint. I might have to put sprint on a toggle now

I might, because I most likely won’t get my control schemes :(. So I’ll have to probably get used to sprint on X. But thanks for the advice. I just couldn’t see you steering yourself with it on X because your thumb is taken off the analog stick if it’s not a tap.

Hey! I tried it out, it really wasn’t as bad as it sounded. (as long as it’s toggled by tap in Halo 4) So I guess if that’s the case Recon will be just fine.
