Is 343 aware/acknowledging the problems with splattering right now?
It’s just annoying how I am boosting through 3/4 people in a row and they just walk it off, only to DRM teamshot, plasma pistol/grenade spam or have some ridiculous way of boarding me after I just hit them.
It’s really starting to annoy me and from what i’ve read many other as well. It isn’t some kind of one time occurence either, this happens to me about 4-5 times in any given game.
Sure, lag may play some part in it but even on great connections it happens a lot. Yet when my Ghost barely touches an ally, he instantly dies and I am stuck with a betrayal.
i don’t know how I manage to splatter people sometimes, so I’d say it evens out. I’d rather missed a splatter than miss every headshot do to poor game mechanics.
I’ve only had this problem maybe 2 or 3 times, other than that, I’ve been splattering people with no problem.
P.S. The funny thing about the ghost is that when an enemy sees it they automatically think they will be splattered. They always forget that there are plasma cannons on it. I got about 8 kills because enemies were just waiting to jump the ghost.
Light Vehicles are a joke in Halo 4. Mostly because of the amount of damage even just two players can put out with just two BRs or DMRs along with the fact that anyone can spawn instantly with a Plasma Pistol and two sticky grenades.
Yeah. You are just points fodder most of the time. The connectivity has to be pretty good for a Splatter to connect properly unless you hit the guy absolutely dead on, which isn’t something that happens. Even the worst players in Halo are in the habit of jumping over or out of the way from incoming vehicles.
The Ghost especially. Because of the extremely open sightlines on any vehicle route it is ridiculously simle to just repeatedly peg a Ghost in the -Yoink- after it misses you. Whether he comes back for another try or runs off you’ll still easily get another four or five shots. Likely even dock him an entire damage level.

Yeah. Too bad one of the most popular visor colors is only attainable through splatters.
A lot of the people noticing that the splattering/hit detection on vehicle collision is kinda weird are the guys who are faithfully chugging away trying to finish the Green Visor.
Honestly I’ve become so sick of the grenade spam, once I’ve gotten the visor myself I’m not likely to ever really bother with Light Vehicles again. The Ghost is absolutely non-threatening and the Warthog is just a double kill on wheels.
You ever notice the Ghost takes longer to kill other vehicles then a guy with a DMR or BR? Why do the plasma guns on the Ghost seem to do so little vehicle damage? That kinda bugs me. It doesn’t seem right that small arms fire is more effective against most vehicle then the guns ON one such vehicle.
I did the splatter mastery for my green visor because I was set on getting it…but boy was it some BS. I had countless times I’d hit someone full speed dead on and they just bounce…a gentle little bounce…or get moved to the side…Hell many times I’ve had a perfect setup to splatter 3+ people and barrel into them and had the first one receive little damage, just a bounce, and in the process somehow killed all momentum and I basically get forcibly stopped in front of the others behind him.
They need to fix this. Its bad enough the vehicles are so weak that one player with good aim can take you out with something simple as a DMR even when you’re in a TANK, but the fact that many in big team spawn with plasmas and plasma pistols on top of it just makes it feel brutally unfair. Vehicles are seemingly often MORE likely to get you killed than running it out on foot.
Sometimes it’s hyper sensitive (usually with allies) and yet at other times it just refuses to register. Look at my opening post, that game was not laggy and I hit him dead on with boost. He is bumped to the side and only loses a quarter of his shield.
I have already tanked 0.10 on my KDR because of this, I am trying not to care about it but it does suck that I can barely end a game positive just because I want a damn visor color.
