It’s huge, wide-open map with homing weapons. How could it be any WORSE for Infection? It’s boring no matter who you play as. As infected, you just walk into the same wall of pain again and again. As human, you lazily shoot dudes from a distance and not give a damn about anything. It’s just simply a boring map.

I think from an art perspective the crypt is the most impressive infection map there is. I remember seeing it pre infection release and was so excited, it just looked so eerie. That being said its functionality is very poor as an infection map. Players seem to stand out in the green haze a lot more than they blend in, the sight lines are enormous and it does not take very good players to survive the entire round.
It could be better, but I don’t think it’s bad by any stretch of the imagination. As an infected, you have to use your brain and outwit the survivors. Of course you’re going to die if you just run at them. Use the rocks and tight corners to your advantage.
