I managed to max out the daily xp challenge after roughly 40 matches, just enough for 2 whole levels, i thought it was supposed to be unlimited?
Did they say it’s unlimited? This is the official statement:
Challenge and Progression Changes
The team made several Challenge and progression updates on November 18th, 2021. Players now earn XP by completing matchmade games. The “Play 1 Game” Daily Challenge is worth 50 XP each match. The pool of available Challenges was also updated to better serve players of all skill levels.
XP Boosts were increased to 1 hour. The in-game tooltip may continue to show 30 minutes, but the Boost’s timer will start from 60 minutes once activated.
The team also resolved issues with the following Challenges that meant progress was not tracked:
• Heat of the Moment • It Bears Repeating • Jorge Would Be Proud • Ultra Tech

I think we can infer that it is unlimited from the sentence “Players now earn XP by completing matchmade games.”
However, given 343’s track record so far with progression, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some hidden cap.

They haven’t mentioned it anywhere, that these are unlimited. I assume they just replaced all of the possible daily challenges with the “Play 1 game” one and the limit already was 50 challenges before.

In this instance, having some sort of cap makes sense to dissuade AFK fools from permanently parking in games.
Seeing the rubber band controller brigade this weekend was pretty silly. Hopefully, they’ll put more robust checks in place at launch.
