I’ve heard rumours that there’s a reward for getting there before Halo Infinite, but mostly I’ve mostly assumed that getting it is for mostly bragging rights. Besides showing dedication to the game, anyone know for sure if there’s any fancy rewards for hitting the milestone, or is it mostly just a race for a theoretical crowning achievement before the next game?
No one knows exactly what will be given out. Rumors going around say it’s going to be an emblem or something along those lines. Nothing extravagant. The only thing that is 100% true is that there will be something.
343’s really gonna need to put out another statement somewhere where people can see it, because I swear that I heard them say it wouldn’t be “fancy” in any way - just a ‘token of appreciation’ An emblem or nameplate perhaps, a weapon skin at best. It’s probably buried in one of the News articles somewhere. I’ve seen a fair amount of people getting wild speculations about it (Flaming Helments for example…) and it’d be great to see these rumors put to rest before they end up convincing a major chunk of people to grind like hell only to be disappointed/angry about getting a meager emblem for their troubles. And we all know they’d direct that at 343 rather than at the rumorms that convinced them to grind for 152 to begin with.
That being said, I’ve double-checked the Community Updates and only see them referring to it as a “Token of Appreciation” and nothing that’d confirm nor deny that it’s something amazing or just something simple. I’m not going to get my hopes up though, but I still want it whatever it is.
Also keep in mind that they didn’t say you had to get 152 before Infinite comes out.

Should be interesting to see if anyone is left playing Halo 5 after Infinite releases.
