So about Halo E3...

I know this may seem off topic and all but I generally dont think it was “Master Cheif” as the Spartan in the trailer.

  • The body seems to slim - The helmet doesnt resemble the newest armor which Cheif has - The thighs model seems more like a womans - and the hand and fingers seem very slimI understand it is a new engine and models maybe different and Im only speculating this is exciting news…

  1. His body was not shown in the teaser…

  2. The helmet looks like the classic, Bungie-style Mark VI armor we all know, loved, and developed very fond memories with in Halos 2 and 3, and 343 has been listening to the fans which overwhelming have not liked the new art direction, and want the series to feel more familiar. Along with the Halo 3 theme originally used in the Halo 3 E3 reveal trailer, as well as a Combat Evolved -esque Halo ring with wide open spaces and wildlife, today’s teaser was very clearly intended to be a blatant callback to the “good ol’ days” so many fans want. They were trying to tap into our nostalgia in order to reenergize the community and renew our hope in a return to form for the series. And for many of us, the teaser did just that.

  3. I take offense to that.

  4. Huh? Dude I think you’re really reaching, honestly. I’m not trying to be disrespectful.

  5. 343’s own description said that this teaser is for the next installment in the franchise, i.e. the unnumbered Halo 6, and that it is about Master Chief’s continued saga, which is who they’ve said multiple times know is the sole character they will be focusing on as the main protagonist from now on. I know it’s fun to look into things and theorize, but I think you’re looking too much. I think the only reasonable conclusion is that this is Master Chief, and 343 just wanted to show off their new, cleverly named engine and make it clear that they’re heard the cries for a more classic Halo experience. True Halo is back.

The helmet still looked a lot like the newer one to me

I agree, there is a litheness and dare I say, daintiness, to the limited view we have. Also looks slightly too…clean (?). Still, very intriguing and exciting.
