I think it’s safe to say that 343’s main focus at this years E3 press conference is to push Halo Wars 2 as much as possible with Gameplay and a possible release date, but I just can’t imagine that is all they will be talking about that’s Halo related.
To me, it seems like 343 might take this upcoming E3 to bring along a HUGE update to Halo 5 aswell. What could the update be? I’m not sure… Perhaps it’s something simple like REQ weapons coming to forge or more customization options (i.e. More colors, arms/legs/chest/shoulders pieces). Maybe even something Greater, like a PVE Firefight mode or perhaps a side story DLC. Maybe even a Quick Tease for Halo 6 possibly, who knows.
The reason I think this is because that even though Halo Wars 2 will be a successful RTS game, not every person that likes Halo games is going to get it. In other words, the people who would rather play a first person Halo over a Real Time Strategy Halo, so it would only make sense that 343 would bring something additional to E3 to feed those player’s needs aswell. Besides, Halo 5 isn’t even a year old yet, and 343 has plenty of time before Halo 6 comes out to continue pushing content for Halo 5.
Me personally, I would certainly enjoy an upgrade to the object limit in forge mode so I have more freedom with my cartography, and along with that, I would like more forge objects, maybe some nostalgic items from the past that we haven’s seen in a long time. Even a Nostalgic map pack that has one Map from each of the last 4 main Halo games would be pretty cool.
That’s just my thoughts though. What do you guys think? Will Halo 5 have a big update come E3? I certainly hope so, I can’t get enough Halo!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that TV being a thing haha. A Halo 6 teaser could happen, I mean Halo 5 was basically teased in 2013, two years before the game came out, why not Halo 6? haha

Anniversary Editions of Halo games have a record of being announced the same year they’re released, so I doubt, though it would be pretty cool if they did. A year long hype might help it sell more.

Yeah! I want a good Halo media representation. Many people seem to think that 2013 tease was actually Halo 6, because the Guardian looks different and Chiefs visor is already cracked AND it never was confirmed for Halo 5. I honestly think that it’s this beautiful thing called development in art and narrative but whatevs.

I dont know if HW2 will be the spotlight, because console RTS games are not the best way to sell the Xb1,
They need something amazing where thousands of people say “I need a xbox right now!” And a good Halo3 Anniversary could be something like that.
Dont forget HW2 is made by CA, and 343i could/should come up with something different.

I mean, it’s not inconceivable that it could’ve possibly hinted Halo 6. The whole point of the teaser really was that our “Journey Begins…” Perhaps our Journey is leading up to that moment in the trailer? Or perhaps we will visit that environment and find out the purpose of that single Guardian in an abandoned wasteland. It’s probably none of that and I’m just -Yoinking!- but still it’s fun to think about it haha

They will show a trailer for a PVE mode for Halo 5
They will show a trailer for Wars 2, with possibly some gameplay after it.
They will close out with a teaser trailer for the Speilburg TV show.
I highly doubt that we will see a teaser for Halo 6. Its too early. There are still 3 E3s between now and Halo 6, thats if it drops in 2018.
Going by previous games, we will see a teaser for Halo 6 at E3 2017, with a gameplay trailer and gameplay at E3 2018, with the release in the Fall of 18.

My guess:
-revealing Halo 5 Legendary Edition with all DLC built in and a second disc with behind the scebes footage/soundtrack or some other nonessential but cool goody
-a montage showing all the Halo 5 updates (Forge, gametypes and so on) to bring back people who left
-at the end of the montage we get a glimpse at future updates (a UNSC aircraft reveal, Race mode and so on) ending with a big reveal… the new Firefight based around Warzone maps and bosses. Available NOW!
-and of course some major Halo Wars 2 action, including the release of the original for free with every copy (through backwards compatibility)
If we’re lucky, we’ll also get a confirmation if the Halo show is officially on hold or still a thing
