I don’t know if you guys caught on to it yet but a lot of the items 343i has been adding weren’t there at launch. The Spnkr rocket launcher, CE pistol, and even that new carbine needler they showed off at the end of the livestream on Saturday.
Usually in the past developers would say adding things is impossible or unrealistic due to constraints of some kind but that must not be that much of an issue here as they are able to add without much effort (because if it did require any real significant effort 343i wouldn’t do it or they would charge for it).
The Halo: CE pistol is getting its own textures and sound effects so that should be proof that they aren’t limited to only simple reskins. They also could add things from Warzone into regular matchmaking as they said during the livestream (the Sknkr).
With all that said, why can’t they add community requested items like a UNSC flying vehicle, gravity hammer, or some weird unique vehicles?
How about a mantis that shoots Spartan lasers instead of the typical mini-rockets, or a gungoose with a gauss turret attached instead of the mini-gun? These are more crazy ideas, but why couldn’t 343i do it, and do it easily? The hybrid carbine is proof that they could so why not?
What if they actually weren’t ‘adding’ anything, but rather unlocking content that was there from day one, only hidden so they could give you the illusion you were getting extra free DLC when it was written in the Games code all along???

That’s not the case, though…
They probably will if there is enough community uproar about it. 343 has done a good enough Job responding to feedback with the spnkr and old magnum plus more controller sensitivity options

And you’re certain of this?

Yeah except this isn’t destiny.

This is true and something that they did good

I just can’t beleve that Bungie went that low. It’s just sad

Don’t ask him to back up a negative. You made the assertion, back it up with a data mine.
Taking the last update into account, actual content was being downloaded into the console. So unless we’re dealing with unusually large unlock key data, this stuff is off disc. All of this is free; there is nothing to gain hiding content on disc. Not to save money on server storage, save time on certification, none. No reason.
Anyway; that data mine. Wassup?
That’s been the case from the beginning. The Requisition system allows them to add literally anything they want with ease. INCLUDING weapons that are technically brand new to the entire sandbox. (such as the classic rocket launcher, CE pistol, and the Carbine-Needer, which is essentially the needle rifle.) At one point before launch, they even SPECIFICALLY mentioned “No human air vehicles at launch.” They could add it in at any time.

Yes, in the past when other games have had unlockable items on the disk locked behind DLC people find it and out it. With Halo 5 being such a huge game this will have deffo been looked for.
We already knew they could add anything, they were very upfront about that with how modular the game is now. Its much easier for them to add content than other Halo games.
They’ve already shown the 3D model for the Halo 5 Gravity Hammer, it will be added later.

I LOVE when conspiracy theories from other games get shoehorned here!
Btw, cutting something from launch to unlock it later for free is the worst idea in the spectrum of bad ideas. People with tinfoil hats on think that idea is a little far out.

Ugh
Maybe you should swing by the studio and show em whats up. Ya know, since you’re sooooo good and game development. I know it’s cool to hate on 343 because you’re supposed to, but you just sound silly and childish.

Believing in things for which there is no evidence to support it makes no sense whatsoever. If you do not have any evidence (and you don’t) then it makes perfect sense to dismiss your ideas.

This thread is changing subjects fast. Can this get locked or something?
