According to 343i’s blogs and updates. They’ve pretty much stated that they will specifically be catering to the extremely vocal minority and go about nerfing the Assault Rifle and the SMG’s abilities in combat.
They also apparently will change up some aesthetics with the BR and the DMR such as restrictive optics.

Your assumption that these complaints come from the minority of players is based upon what exactly?

They are likely the ones truly in the minority. Feedback on the forums, other websites and the Halo Community Feedback Program are some of the methods that 343 used to understand what kind of things should be tweaked. If a sweeping majority of people thought no changes should be made, that would reflect in what 343 is doing. Evidently, they did not as most people who loved the beta still have some things they would tweak. I mean, if a higher base movement speed, toggle for sprint in custom games and weapon tweaks is too much for you, you might as well skip playing.

Fair Point, though honestly I don’t really care about movement changes. It’s the weapon changes specifically that I don’t care for.
After 10-years of BR/DMR ruling over every other weapon in the sandbox, I honestly am over it and looked forward to AR’s and SMG’s actually being viable weapons, but apparently whiners get their way around here.

I’m sorry you won’t be able to run around and spray and pray in the final game, but I’d like a little bit of skill left in the game. They’re listening to (perhaps) a minority, but these are the people who will play the game more than any other game. More causal gamers will hop around more and play CoD and Destiny, 343 wants dedicated fans to stay and that’s why they’re listening to us

Think you can drop the whiner thing? You can’t just say that 343 listened to the whiners if the overall feedback made them believe that weapons like the AR and SMG should get tweaks. It isn’t just the people who like BR and DMR gameplay.

You’re fragging delusional if you think that it’s all about 'spray and pray" In the Beta the SMG and the AR were the best they’ve been ever, especially since they were made to reward burst firing and controlled firing. Which is far more skill based than using the hit-scan 5000 ahem- I mean the BR/DMR.
FYI, I’ve played since Halo: CE, I know all the Halo’s inside out and backwards. I can promise you that I HATED the Battle Rifle since its inception in Halo 2 and how it dominated every aspect of the game.

Maybe you should be playing another game. Call of Duty might be better suited for you. Precision weapons being better is something that no other game does. It’s simple: higher skill required to use the weapon, the better the rewards. Why would you try to break a great system like that. And, ‘whiners’, really? Get over yourself

I’m pretty sure I’ve played the beta enough hours to know that the SMG and AR were spray and pray weapons. Now that they’re nerfed, hopefully they’ll reward burst firing as they’ve done in the past

There’s never been anything more “skillful” about “precision weapons” they are more specialized. You must understand literally nothing about weapons and munitions.
Additionally you must have never played a Halo game in your life because burst firing with an SMG or AR in all past Halo games did nothing for you. You’re attempting to intentionally misinform and mislead readers with lies.
The Beta had the best performing close-mid range AR that could actually compete with a Battle Rifle, that’s balanced! The SMG did extremely well in Close Range and did well enough at mid range to stay in step with an AR but was outclassed at mid to long range by a BR.
What you’re asking for is for the BR is dominate everything again and that’s not balanced at all, nor is it skillful.

You’re cute, I like you.
I don’t know what the difference between “more skillful” and “specialized” is. It sounds like the same thing. Whats a smaller target, a head or a body? Smaller target = more skill involved. An AR will (and has always) outplayed a BR if the BR doesn’t get that headshot.
You caught me, I’ve never played a Halo game in my life. It makes so much sense, doesn’t it? But hey, I won’t make any ridiculous claims like you did. You have the right to your own opinion and you sound like a reasonable guy
