What is this GRD or BOB helm. I know neither of those are the real name for it because I was the one who dubbed it “GRD”, and I’m sure its not BOB. But what I don’t understand is why you would advertise it on the dashboard of xbox live if its not in the game :/. Is it from a dev server? Cause if so, you probably should have confronted us. Jussss saying. Shed some light please…

GRD Gold Ranger Destroyer…halo wiki it.

A BOB was in marathon and that helmet you see is the helmet they wore in marathon and of course the gold rangers in reach are bobs. all the helmet was is a special thing for bungie employees as a tribute to there game series marathon

i don’t know if you understand i made up the name GRD for it. how did i come up with it. Unearthed the ff map has the letters GRD scattered all around it. SO… i called it GRD. Posted it in the forums… nuff said…

It’s a helmet that was, from what we understand, part of an armory expansion but was cut out due to the expansion being… not that great of an idea.

Best you’ll get until H4 is the dolls on the anniversary maps.

well dude arint the pics of it originally from the defiant map pack trailer so did you see it called GRD or did you just say that cause if you saw it called GRD on bungie day then bungie made the name not you. but if you just said that to rile then it took off big time cause that’s the official Easter egg title

REALLY…Have you seen a Bungie Employee play this game with it, and is it on their ‘stats’ page to show us??? They had/have the Haunted Helmet, and Blue flames, before they were given away, and nothing more.

If so, link it up, otherwise this falls very deep and hard into that ‘rumor mill’ category, and needs to stop happening, as way too many people will read into wrong.

There is already too much floating around all of the Halo Forms about stuff like this, and people will just never get it or understand that they were trolled by Bungie, and 343I, about the so called, and I don’t care who started it, GRD Helmet, as it will never happen with this game, and was put to rest long before Halo Fest on Bungie’s Forms.

Okay well lets see Its been proven its not on the disk cause modders and hackers have not found it in the coding the helmet looks EXACTLY like the BOBs on marathon which is bungies game there are hundreds of references to marathon in halo well who else could have it huh? tell me that. yeah its speculation but its putting pieces together yeah we are probably not going to get it. but to tell you the truth would it surprise you if bungie did that for there employees with specific games with the coding in it. it would not surprise me.

all I did was try and help out with as much info as I can rumors are part of these forums what do you think the halo 4 section is made for SPECULATION AND RUMORS its what builds hype flaming don’t built hype nor does it help people.

You people make me facepalm. We’ve already got the damn answers and you still don’t get it.

  1. It’s not called GRD. It never was. That was some troll name a -Yoink- kid on Bungie called it, get over it.

  2. It was CONFIRMED at Halo Fest and on NeoGaf that 343 TRIED to put new armor in game, hence why they experimented with new helmets/chests etc. At the end of the day, while it’s possible for them to do it, the way they have to do it isn’t worth it.

  3. Stop making threads about this when you can just google it.
