Isn’t it still on track to be released season 2?
I don’t recall it being delayed till season 3, but I could be wrong.
Do you have a quote or citation on this?
I know there’s confusion currently surrounding “vaulted” gear, but deductive reasoning suggests that it’s a semantics issue.
Again do you have a quote of this exact statement? Or is this an interpretive paraphrase?
If there’s one other consistency to all this it’s that a lot of the playerbase misremembers/misquotes/paraphrases quotes from the Devs in ways that paint them as liars, when at worst the reality is just vague statements.
Also I know it’s a controversial feature, but what “default colours” or “basic colour pallets” have been sold and what makes them “default” or “basic”? Specific names please.
Also another misdirection that’s commonly parroted is that armor coatings are sold separately for different cores which has verbatim not been the case. There isn’t a single example of an armor coating that has been sold separately from another armor coating for various cores (yet), all copies of armor coatings for various cores have been sold within a bundle.
I think this is a jump to conclusions interpreting the nature of “vague” or “half-truth” statements.
Objectively we don’t know why they do it, except that they do, and it’s really up to personal interpretation and hypotheticals that are embraced by the playerbase.
The half-truth/vagueness isn’t good and I’ll absolutely agree on that front though. I won’t challenge that.
Depends, a false promise implies there was a promise made that wasn’t kept. There are some cases that this should be called out, but you’d have to be specific.
Vague descriptives aren’t necessarily promises, they’re vague.
One of the biggest misinterpretations that I see thrown around is the statement “millions of customization options day 1”, word for word I see that a lot when the actual verbatim quote is “The body of customization content that we have on day one ensures that there will be millions of customization combinations for Spartans on the battlefield” which is an objective fact.
You can fault them for vague statements and half-truths on the basis of vague statements and half-truths, but you can’t hold them accountable for personal interpretations of these statements.
