Snowball effect in Warzone

The problem with Warzone is that once a team starts winning, it’s hard to stop them. Once a team captures the 2nd base, it’s almost always game over. They start collecting more reqs and they are getting banshees and snipers while you’re trying to fend them off with battle rifles. It’s a positive feedback loop: oh your team is winning, here take some more reqs, the losing team? Oh here let’s spawn you out in the open so the team with all the power weapons can just farm kills. Great system 343!

I’ve seen the game swing many times. Yes, if you get too far behind, your screwed, but getting two bases is not a guarantee for a win. Remember that they now have to defend two bases simultaneously, which spreads their forces thinner.

today my team only had 1 base captured and we won killing mostly the AI and the bosses, and they needed only 50 points to win, while we needed 140

Capping the middle base is NOT a guarantee for a win. It definitely improves your odds but it isn’t a for sure thing unless it’s a pretty full squad of communicating players.

Snowball effect is nowhere near as bad as it was since they added the drip and changed how bosses work. It used to be that if your team killed a boss then everyone got req credit for it. Now it is just if you do damage to the boss.

It’s points that win the game. Most are so busy trying to get the most kills they ignore the bosses that win the game.

Been in many matches that come down to the last mythic boss and end up 1000 to 996 or something like that.

There are lobbies out there that specifically play to quick-core, but they are few and far between in my experience.

Just like any other game modes, there will always be bad matches.

I almost don’t like those close down to the wire matches because they take so long. Can’t imagine what it was like when Spartan kills were only 1 point.

The snowball effect is more when everyone on the other team runs to the base by your core and takes that ASAP. THEN you’ll lose in four minutes or less.
