Rig takes place on a glassed planet that is now being used for mining, glassed planets have a “flash winter” set in shorty after glassing. We also visit this planet during the campaign.

So yes, this is snow.

So if the campaign takes place in the locations of fathom, sanghelios, the rig, and meridian all those game descriptions with ‘travelling to 3 worlds’ are -yoink-. Unless any of these share a location.
