Snipers will now be extremely hard to stop

It was a bad idea of 343 to remove the “kick you out of scope when you take damage” feature, as now snipers in the hands of a skilled player will now be impossible to stop at long range.

I used to shoot snipers hiding to scare them off and let me get to another point safe, now that wont be possible. And quick scoping will be easier now, so now it will be pretty easy for them to kill players in close range using weapons MADE for that range.

So what do you think?

It depends on how bad the flinch factor is. For a sniper, it might be pretty big, giving a suppressor time to “get to another point safe”.

It will be fine. I don;t see why they needed to change it, but it doesn’t bother me that much.

You want to know of a overpowered Sniper? Try one that has an X-Ray, shoots through walls, automatically locks onto a target, and is always an instant kill.

The kick might actually throw them off more than being unscripted. My worries are about the random factor of the kick and how much that one perk reduces it.

I’m not worried about that as much as the Binary Rifle. One shot kill regardless of where you hit them. Now THAT’S overpowered.

the flitching on the sniper is massive. I’ve seen someone who was scoping with it get shot and their reticle instantly pointed to the sky. I was like :open_mouth: I’m fine with this, also before when I would try to unscope but get shot right before so I end up going in and out and in and out of scope. I’m not worried about sniper anymore than I was before halo 4.

Also the binary rifle has is not easy to use, when scoped the reticle is like this - - lol the best reticle wouldn’t you agree? Plus it’s only two shots to a clip

Flinch barely effects a good player. I’ve seen some get pounded by a br in close range, and the sniper guy was able to keep his reticule on the enemy for a headshot in zoom. It doesn’t look that noticeable.

Scope out should not have been ditched but whatev.

The instant unscoping can be usefull if you get hit from behind as otherwise your still scoped in for and extra slip second allowing your attacker extra kill time to place another DMR round to kill you. I’m going for engineer and operator in big team. Then I’ll do rouge just for the armour.

They will probably title update it if it gets enough complaints like the new CTF is going to.

I agree with OP. Especially with the Rogue specialization.

Being shot does sitll affect the player cause the flish will throw off the sniper so its not a issue id say

Well Perfect Dark wasn’t designed around online multiplayer obviously.

I think not scoping out is stupid, but not for the same reason you do OP.

Looking at the videos, the sniper looks a little harder to use anyway. Well compared to Reach that is.

Active Camo? Check.
Mobility Package? Check.
Wetworks? Check.

Boom. One dead sniper.

I’m the type of sniper that calculates the speed of the sensitivity and the enemies head location. Watch my clip on my fileshare called “snipe spree” and you’ll see what I do.

Im not worried about the Binary Rifle being as it only carries to rounds per mag, if I remember correctly.

Personally, I’m a little bit worried about the snipers power after watching this video…

Im not worried the only thing that these new snipers will teach is for people to keep their heads down. And plus those guys in that vid are probably like MLG pro pro snipers.
