I hope I’m wording this clearly enough but I’ve been having an issue with the way the sniper scopes work in Infinite.
If you cycle your zoom from 5x to 10x but get forced out of your scope by gunfire or such when you scope again it automatically puts you back into 10x zoom rather then having you cycle the zoom levels again, personally I’ve found it really disorientating and would love a settings toggle to remove this “scope memory”
This always felt super weird. I couldn’t figure out why the scoping was so inconsistent, didn’t realize it was this if this is actually the case. I’m not a fan of this either since it kind of breaks the muscle memory of double clicking to zoom up to 10x

Yeah I had to experiment a little to pinpoint what the problem was, if you’re forced out of the scope it’ll remember if you were at 10x zoom so next time you scope it’ll be at that zoom level again, and I noticed it only does it if you get forced from your scope I even tried out the new controls to see if it’s just an issue with legacy controls and no getting shot out of scope locks your zoom level but letting go of LT sets your zoom back to default so I don’t know how this happened, like you I much prefer just cycling the zoom levels each time I want to scope
