Correct me if I am wrong, but I greatly recall, in other halo games, being able to hold the zoom button with a sniper (or other scoped weapons) and it would hold the zoom for that time until I let go so I don’t always need to cycle both magnifications. Likewise I could cycle between mid to high zooms that way without needing to un-scope as well. Highly situational but very handy and skill rewarding.
And to anyone that wants to say it, no this isn’t the same thing as the “Hold button for zoom” setting. That does something similar but prevents you from scoping at all with a click or getting to the second magnification (and thus even cycling between mid to high zoom).
