Time to make my trolling thread!.. Kidding. Just thought I’d put this out there.
The Sniper rifle is a weapon that can net instant kills across the map, or snapshots can allow the user to obtain instant kills at closer range WITH the bonus of double score. Do you think the snapshot medal gives too many points?
And people complain about a 5 shot weapon that only grants standard points? I’m impressed at how blind the community is. Besides, no game is ever truly balanced. I learned that a while ago…
The boltshot is MOSTLY balanced, but I agree its range is just a teeny bit too far. I shouldn’t out-range a shotgun. Technically, you can still pulse punch with the plasma pistol for instant kills at closer range, while maintaining the versatility being able to shut down shields and vehicles. The boltshot has no other use… It’s just a shotgun with charge, cooldown, and puny clip size.
I got a double kill in BTB on exile because I followed up my DMR kill with a pulse punch on the guy who was chasing me while I was weak. It was from the grave too, so thats another 5 points. Not too shabby. Perhaps you should try it.
I think the DMR just needs more bloom, like in Reach. It used to be powerful only in the hands of experts… which is good!
