For the love of god! why the sniper rifle has BLOOM??
HREACH= BLOOM =( So bad!
H1= NO BLOOM
H2= NO BLOOM
H3= NO BLOOM FTW!
Bloom ruined the competitive gameplay and community, hopefully this will change along with the design and sound!
(EDIT)
In Halo 3 when you snipe someone and another enemy appears and you reload, you have to press YY to cancel reload and you have a oportunity to get a another headshot, in reach when you press YY the sniper bloom goes huge and the shot goes random cause the bloom.
Sorry for my bad english =)
The bloom didn’t even effect the sniper rifle in Reach, I don’t even understand why it was there.
It didn’t effect anything…it was visual bloom (If I’m correct)
TBH, why don’t they just remove it? Although it does indicate the time between shots.
There is no bloom in Halo 4’s Sniper. It’s just the visuals you are believing to be bloom. It’s just visuals. The most change in the actions of the Sniper Rifle would be recoil. That applies to all weapons (or just precision weapons).
You do understand the main complaint with the reach sniper is that it is TOO ACCURATE right?
The bloom doesn’t do anything to the sniper in Reach.
The rate of fire for the sniper is slow enough in Reach that the bloom doesn’t even matter.
> You do understand the main complaint with the reach sniper is that it is TOO ACCURATE right?
It is too easy to use because of the hitboxes, not because of the sniper itself.

Then…don’t cancel the reload…
EDIT: It’s a GLITCH
Why does it matter? The sniper rifle doesn’t fire fast enough for bloom to effect it. If I can remember, from Reach you couldn’t fire another bullet from the sniper until the reticule was back to the original spot.
Blooming heck what a conundrum my fellows! But don’t worry I have an UNVERIFIED RUMOR hot from the offices of NuHaloIncorporated which shows Conner Franco clearly requesting the videogame designers to put 2 versions of every weapon in the game: one with blooms and one without blooms. This way all the fans of Halo Reach and all the fans of Halo 3 will both be happiest!

The bloom was to show the recoil of the Sniper. It made no affect to the taget once you shot…
THe bloom didnt affect reachs sniper, it was merely there to show you when you could shoot. Now, I agree on the YY thing, but honestly it makes more sense. I shouldnt be able to whipe out a heavy sniper with armor peircing rounds and simply be able to shoot with one hundred percent accuracy. Sure, it was a little too big in reach, but the bloom in reach was fundamnetally flawed.
I doubt it will be near as bad in halo 4. I mean, the bloom on the DMR is NOTHING compared to what it was in reach. Same with the magnum. So I think it should be ok.
Of course I could be wrong.

Not accurate, easy. I get headshots when I’m 5 feet off with the thing.
