So,people want a scope that has a fixed range on it when you scope in? Kind of like the scopes in Battlefield 3. I can see it forcing the sniper weapons into their place and only have the occasional snapshotters.
It doesn’t bother me any but I have some interesting ideas for magnification on the snipers.
Did you really make a poll for this? Dude, do you need a 343i developer to feed you your morning cereal too? This is exactly the type of people that complain and whine about every minor thing, putting pressure to developers so they can make an easy noobish game to satisfy you.
From No Scope: If you click Zoom and hold it, you’ll go into 5x Zoom like normal, but as soon as you let go of the button, you’ll instantly go back to No Scope.
From 5x Zoom: Click and hold Zoom to go into 10x Zoom, and when you let go of it, you’ll return to 5x Zoom.
From 10x Zoom: Click and hold Zoom does not work- you’ll be in No Scope even after you let go of the button.
There’s a quick and convenient way to Zoom in and out from different scopes.
Btw- why did they decide to allow players to be able to move around while Zoomed in with ANY weapon, Precision or not?

Because they’re super soldiers with incredibly advanced suits of armour. I’m assuming the Helmet they wear has a built in binoculars so they can see enemies from afar.
> Still doesn’t make it oky. Nobody should be forced to zoom twice or use a button trick to get out of it. It’s just bad design.
But… they aren’t forced… you can hit a bunch of buttons to get out of it, that’s hardly forcing you to double click your thumbstick. Being forced to do that would mean that this is the ONLY way to get out of scope.
10x zoom is helpful for extreme long ranges (aka most of the maps in the game) so I think It’s necessary to include a second zoom. Besides, just swap weapons or melee to unzoom.
> press once the button. 1st Zoom
> Press it twice. 2nd zoom
> KEEP IT PRESSED: Zoomed and auto.unzoomwhen release the precuse on the “Zoom button layout”

Have to say I knew the weapon swap method but not this one. Will have to try it out later as it actually sounds useful.
Mind you, OP, the reason for double zoom is SITUATIONAL AWARENESS. When you are fully zoomed in you lose sight of what is happening left or right of where you are looking. Being zoomed out slightly means you can keep track of the enemies and only zoom in fully when you are ready to headshot the enemy.
But when you want to fully zoom right in to get the shot right away, LSD’s method sounds awesome.
It’s things like these that would go well in the manual (that was not included lol).
