The pistol should not be near as powerfull as the rest of the rifles in the game. on top of that it can even snipe like designated long ranged weapons and I have proofe now. this was a random warzone game I was playing.

Its an okay weapon. No need to nerf it and it usually tales some skill to máster it.

A pistol should not have that much range, or more specifically that much damage in that range.
It has a smaller recticle than the BR making it easier to make precision shots, the minor tradeoff is weaker aim assist
I don’t think it should get a big nerf like weaker damage, I think they should subtly nerf it’s smartscope ability and recticle or something

Halo has never had damage reduction over range some weapons have a max range but if you had the exact same conditions and shot the Bolt shot for example im sure you could pull of the same thing.

It takes 8 shots to land a 5-shot stationary kill to receive a “Longshot” medal and you’re claiming the M6 is OP’d???
I’m no expert on UNSC tech in the 26th century, but I would say a pistol would not be accurate at that range, and the damage is a tad high. All I can say is practice your head shots and use your boost strafe efficiently.
OP wouldn’t last 2 minutes in halo CE multiplayer

I could nail someone across the map with an assault rifle. does that mean it’s OP? no.
It’s certainly not effective at that range.
I use pistol 90% of the time.
Lol you took 8 shots to kill someone completely unfamiliar with the game that literally just had to take one step in either direction to avoid the death. I really don’t understand all of this pistol hate because it is outclassed by the BR/DMR, but also has the ability to compete with these weapons. It promotes constant map movement and doesn’t leave you pinned down if the other team has picked up BRs like the AR/Pistol starts did in H3. I peresonally find it more gratifying getting a “Perfect Kill” with the pistol than I do either of those rifles.

Halo is built on the foundation of you being able to defend yourself off spawn, we now have 2 weapons we can do that with
I love what they have done with the pistol in this game, every slayer match I have played everyone on the map is using all of the guns, that is how halo should be

Right, because not moving while aiming at a target that’s also not moving (or aiming, apparently) is totally a good representation of typical halo gunplay & we should be assessing a weapon’s balance based on those conditions. /sarcasm
When the average player can regularly beat DMR users who are actually moving at that range, then we can talk about the pistol being OP
Lol the zoom on the pistol is very low. Skill and good eyes are needed to “snipe”
Plus killing a moving target from that far away. Lol good luck
